The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, October 28, reveals Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will form a deadly rooftop jump plan once she’s driven to her breaking point. Some scary scenes are on the way, so let’s discuss what Y&R has in store.
In the park, Chelsea will give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) updates on her accidental run-in with Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Now that Chelsea has seen how upset she makes Johnny, she’ll assure Billy that she’s going to back off.
Billy will urge Chelsea not to set her expectations too high when it comes to Johnny, so she’ll insist all her hopes are grounded in cold, hard reality.
Chelsea will reiterate that she’s not going to bother Johnny and Victoria again.
At Crimson Lights, Johnny will bump into Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and acknowledge the weird family situation, but he won’t blame Connor for anything.
There’ll be talk about Chelsea possibly following Johnny and how weird she’s been acting.
Connor will just want things to go back to how they were before, so Johnny will be on the same page.
Once Johnny finds out about Connor’s Halloween sleepover, he’ll wonder if he can come.
Connor will feel confident that’d be fine with his friend since there’ll be older kids there, too.
Meanwhile, Victoria will speak with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on the patio and mention that she had to draw the line with Chelsea, who had pushed for too much.
Although Victoria will have sympathy for Chelsea, she’ll insist that’s far outweighed by her concern for Johnny.
Victoria will feel like Connor needs to be Adam and Chelsea’s sole focus, too.
Once Adam and Victoria join the boys, they’ll be pleased to hear Johnny wants to attend Connor’s sleepover party.
Adam will vow to pick up the kids in the morning and inform Victoria that the family hosting is a respected one, so she’ll give her approval.
When Billy walks in and finds Victoria smiling with Adam, it’ll creep him out.
However, Adam and Victoria will explain the whole party thing, so Billy will think that sounds good for both Johnny and Connor.
Once Adam leaves, Billy will admit he ran into Chelsea in the park. There’ll be something off about Chelsea’s demeanor that Billy just can’t shake.
In Chelsea’s hotel room, she’ll battle intrusive thoughts as all the negative comments she’s faced flood back to her.
Chelsea will curl up on the sofa and cry as she struggles to shut her brain off.
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will speak with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), who’ll grumble about Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) stakeout interfering with family Halloween plans.
In a private moment with Lily, Devon will admit he’s worried Abby may resent Chance’s commitment to being a cop.
Devon will also talk about things being strained with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), so Lily will blame the distance and urge him to visit her in Virginia.
Lily will eventually reveal that Billy has decided to resign as her COO, so Devon will point out how bad the timing is.
Devon and Lily will bicker over whether Billy should stay until a replacement is found, but Lily will think it’s best if Billy goes now.
Once Lily exits, Devon will stick around and push Abby to be honest about what’s bothering her.
Abby will confess that it isn’t the Halloween she imagined and will feel like a bad person for being frustrated with Chance, especially when he could be out there saving lives.
Nevertheless, Devon will assure Abby that she’s not a bad person and will understand where she’s coming from.
After Katie Abbott’s (Sienna Mercuri) Halloween parade, Victoria and Billy will chat at the coffeehouse.
Once Lily arrives, Victoria will get a text from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), who’ll note that he thought about Victoria’s offer.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will text Nate that she’s eager to hear his response and will wonder if they can meet tonight.
Back with Lily, she’ll assure Billy that she wants to move on from their recent fight and will suggest grabbing a drink at Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) club.
Meanwhile, Adam will arrive at Chelsea’s door and urge her to come up to the club for a cocktail with him.
Chelsea will claim that sounds great and will offer to meet Adam once she cleans up a bit.
In the bathroom, Chelsea will struggle to stop the flood of negative thoughts again.
So many terrible things will echo in Chelsea’s mind, so she’ll finally cover her ears and shout for it to stop.
Chelsea will make herself presentable and join Adam at The Glam Club, so Billy will glare when he sees them together.
Billy will warn Lily that Adam is the last person Chelsea should be spending any time with, but Lily will think she seems fine.
Next, Adam will give Chelsea another nudge toward counseling, so she’ll admit she needs help to end the cycle of anxiety and depression.
Chelsea will zone out while Adam is speaking to her and will notice some of the lovey-dovey couples around her.
After Chelsea’s negative thoughts creep back in, she’ll excuse herself and claim she’s going to the restroom.
Billy will notice when Chelsea leaves in a hurry, so he’ll seem concerned.
On The Grand Phoenix rooftop, Chelsea will hear voices in her head once more.
It’ll become too much for Chelsea to bear, so she’ll declare that she can’t take it anymore.
Chelsea will just need the pain to go away, so she’ll step closer to the ledge and look down like she’s ready to jump.
