Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 16, reveals that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) pushed her professor’s wife off the roof – and Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) found out through her dad’s deathbed confession.
In the interrogation room on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Chanel told Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) the story of her affair with Dr. Nathan Bedford, who was her professor in London.
Although those months together were magic, it was also the start of the worst thing that ever happened to Chanel.
Nathan assured Chanel that his marriage was loveless and toxic, so she fell head over heels. One night Chanel got a text to meet at their special place, which was the rooftop of the English building.
When Chanel got there, she realized Nathan’s wife set her up for a confrontation.
Chanel insisted Nathan would divorce Martha Bedford and marry her instead, but Martha argued that Nathan was hers.
As things escalated, Martha charged Chanel like a rocket, so Chanel pushed back without realizing how close they were to the edge.
Martha screamed and fell off the roof, so the next thing Chanel knew she was lying in a pool of her own blood on the ground.
Although Chanel was rattled enough to tell the campus police it was her fault and sign a statement, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) swooped in and paid to make all this go away – including giving hush money to the university.
On Wednesday’s Days episode, Allie assured Chanel that it was self-defense, but Chanel felt she had to face the consequences now.
In Paulina’s office, she finally saw the resemblance after Sloan declared that her revenge was very personal.
Sloan admired her strong mother and became a lawyer because of her.
In fact, Sloan was in law school when she got the call about Martha’s suicide, which never made sense.
Nathan resigned from his position at the school and drank himself to death, but he confessed the truth about Chanel pushing Martha in his dying moments.
That led to Sloan uncovering the evidence and tracking Chanel as well as Paulina to Salem.
Sloan then set up her practice under her mother’s maiden name and waited for the perfect time to strike.
Paulina rushed to Chanel’s defense and refused to let her land in prison over this.
However, Sloan said both Chanel and Paulina would get what they deserved before stomping off.
At DiMera Enterprises, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) demanded Gabi Chic back, but Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) knew EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) wouldn’t give it to her.
As they bickered, Gabi started to slap Stefan, but he grabbed her arm.
That led to an intense moment, so Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) wondered what he was interrupting.
Gabi explained her desire to get Gabi Chic back, so Li assured her that he’d look into it.
Li couldn’t reach Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace), so he decided to visit the apartment where she was staying.
Gabi annoyed Stefan by sticking around, so he eventually grabbed her to try and throw her out – which once again led to flying sparks.
At Allie and Chanel’s place, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) shared a steamy kiss with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) before Li arrived.
Once Alex admitted Wendy was out of town, Li made some phone calls and was alarmed to hear where his sister just logged in from.
In Jakarta, Wendy was exhausted after a long flight with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), but she still answered some work emails to keep up appearances.
Johnny distracted Wendy by prancing around wet in a towel after his shower, but they worked well together on their mission.
Johnny knew Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) must have a fancy lab if Li and EJ convinced him to come all the way to Jakarta.
Wendy ended up digging into the expense reports and finding an office space that required a ton of power.
Johnny brought his film equipment along, so he put a mic under Wendy’s shirt so they could record Dr. Rolf’s confession.
Wendy seemed flustered as Johnny touched her, so he could tell that he was making her nervous and moved in closer.
Back in Salem on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie admitted her initial resistance to Alex was partly because of another guy, who acted extremely into her and then ghosted her in the end.
Alex opened up about his mother’s cynical belief on love and how it drove him to seek out carefree flings – until he met Stephanie.
At the Horton house, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) left a voicemail for Stephanie regarding the Paulina drama and then welcomed Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) for a visit.
Kate remembered Chad being interested in Stephanie, but he wasn’t sure he’d ever be ready to date again – and it didn’t matter anyway since she was dating Alex now.
Kate seemed concerned about Chad missing his chance and just wanted him to find happiness again.
