General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) birthday party may bring an engagement ring. Will Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) deliver a surprise marriage proposal and catch Britt off guard?
Cody turned down Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) six-figure offer to stay away from Britt and claimed he knew when he wasn’t wanted.
However, Cody will once again reach out to Britt and try to patch things up on December 5.
Britt needs Cody more than ever, but she’s pushing him aside and shutting down.
The fact that Liesl was willing to throw so much money at Cody let him know something big was going on.
Britt also exhibited some strange behavior in her office and at The Savoy, so Cody can’t just let this go.
Despite Britt’s attempts to keep him at a distance, Cody cares and will inevitably find out she has Huntington’s disease at some point.
Whether Britt comes clean or Cody learns the truth another way, it could drive him to do something drastic – perhaps at the birthday bash that seems to be in the works.
In the November 30 episode, Britt reflected on how she’d never had a birthday party and how she had no husband to throw one for her.
In the end, Britt decided she’d just throw one herself – an epic birthday blowout where she’ll dance on her own if need be.
Of course, there’s a chance Cody will figure out Britt wants someone to throw this party and will put it together for her.
Then again, maybe Britt will indeed throw herself the shindig – setting the stage for when Cody will make a shocking move.
Either way, Cody might make Britt a stunning marriage offer as she enters this difficult chapter.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) assured Britt that there was still time for marriage, but she knows she’s running out of time instead – at least time to live a normal life.
In as soon as 18 months, Britt could be forced into an assisted living facility where she’ll need full-time care.
Even so, Cody may pop the question and want to see Britt through this.
Cody might decide Britt deserves the opportunity to experience all the little things she mentioned about love and marriage.
That doesn’t mean Britt will accept Cody’s proposal if he makes one, but all that husband talk could certainly build to him getting down on one knee.
It’d be a sweet gesture that’d prove Cody’s feelings are genuine and could bring a tender goodbye when Britt departs.
Britt might insist that if things were different, she’d be tempted to marry Cody and kick off a big adventure together.
Instead, Britt may feel the need to fly solo during this final chapter instead.
GH spoilers say Britt will plan to leave town and perhaps cram in some bucket-list goals, so this potential birthday bash could be more like a farewell party.
Whatever the case, the show seems to be in the middle of Britt’s exit arc, so stay tuned to see if Cody’s marriage proposal will become part of it.
