Kelly Rowland has something in common with Rihanna apart from professional singing – she loves nothing more than shopping for kinky items in sex shops. Kelly did not divulge exactly what she likes to purchase in the x-rated stores – but she made sure to hint that the items involve her sexual liberation since turning 30.
She said: “You can’t keep me away from a good sex shop. Those are interesting places. I go with a bunch of people – that way no one recognises me.”
The former Destiny’s Child singer is currently starring as a judge on the UK ‘X Factor’ says she enjoys visiting X-rated stores to purchase raunchy products, but always makes sure she is discreet when she makes an adult shopping trip. Kelly says she has become more “liberated” about sex since turning 30.
Talking about her latest single ‘Motivation’ – which describes how she feels during sex and is included on her new album ‘Here I Am’ – said: “I’m now liberated at 30, it’s almost a transition. I was scared what my mom would say after ‘Motivation’ but she was yelling, ‘Go lover.'”
Kelly – who was once engaged to Roy Williams but the wedding was eventually called off – also says she has learnt not to take any “crap” when it comes to men.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married. I wanted to have kids. At that time I was crazily talking about wanting five. You can just make wrong decisions in life. That was all a part of growing up. I just think it’s important to trust your gut.”
“I’m careful with my heart. I don’t take c**p from no one these days. I put my foot down. Being a woman you deserve heaven and earth. So if a man wants to date me, know that I don’t take crap.”
