General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, December 23, tease that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will realize Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) could use some words of wisdom. Liz will need a reminder of what really matters, so Scott may help her concentrate on her family.
It’ll be Christmas morning in Port Charles, but that won’t stop Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) from brainstorming together.
Laura will try to convince Jordan that they can pull off a difficult goal – maybe one related to Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) takedown and Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) homecoming.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will face a tough goal of her own since she’ll take a phone call and vow to see what she can do.
Will this relate to Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) attempt to avert a Christmas catastrophe?
Whatever the case, Maxie will hope for positive updates as she gets on the phone as well.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will become part of this disaster prevention team, so Maxie will have multiple people on her side.
Of course, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) might get a chance to play the hero sooner or later.
That’s especially true if this involves Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) and something that could hinder her holiday enjoyment – like a delay on a special delivery.
Regardless, Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson) will make a comeback and suspect Spinelli’s crushing hard on Maxie.
It looks like Ellie may support Spinelli and Maxie’s reunion since she’s on good terms with her former flame.
That said, Ellie may warn Spinelli to be careful with his heart.
Maxie and Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) breakup is still fresh, so Ellie may not even know about it when she offers Spinelli her view of the situation.
As for Austin, it seems he’ll tell Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about his split from Maxie and wonder what’s ahead.
Austin will turn to Britt for advice as he deals with the crushing blow, even if it was for the best.
Later, Britt will have to consider her own future since she plans to leave Port Charles soon.
Although Britt will have to put out some fires and derail her holiday plans, she’ll manage to accomplish some good deeds.
Other GH spoilers say Cody will spill some shocking news when he finds Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) at home.
There might be some horse-related mayhem in the stables since Cody’s in charge of what happens there.
On the bright side, Cody may find some Christmas cheer waiting for him at the Quartermaine mansion before the holiday winds down.
Next, Sonny will rise to the challenge when Sasha needs someone to step up.
You can bet Sonny will do it without hesitation, so we’ll see if this involves honoring Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Liam Corbin in some way.
There might also be some Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) drama to contend with.
GH fans can’t forget that Gladys accepted Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker game invitation and clearly planned to gamble using Sasha’s money.
That might lead to Sonny getting a few things straight with Gladys as well as Selina eventually.
