The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) marriage has taken some major hits lately thanks to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Unfortunately, more setbacks are brewing since Kyle and Summer just aren’t in sync.
Summer managed to keep the peace for a while, but she was finally pushed to her limit and has been speaking her mind about Diane ever since.
At this point, Summer can’t just stand by and go along with whatever Kyle wants anymore.
Kyle understandably feels the need to protect his mother, but Summer doesn’t want him doing that at the expense of their family with Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
It seems like there’s always another risky mess when it comes to Diane, especially now that Summer knows about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) stealing Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) necklace for a Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) takedown plot.
The last thing Summer wants is criminal fallout, so she’s trying to make Kyle wise up and realize how much is at stake.
Of course, Kyle feels like Summer is adding to the stress and not showing compassion for Diane’s situation or his own.
Sadly, the rift between Summer and Kyle is only going to widen during the week of January 23-27.
Y&R spoilers say there’ll be more Diane drama, so it’s going to take a toll on “Skyle” – and that’s bad news considering how strained their relationship has already become.
How much more can Summer take before she does something drastic?
Summer may reach another breaking point and decide she has to show Kyle just how serious this is.
Although Summer will hate to cause any upheaval or distress in Harrison’s life, she might be tempted to move out – at least temporarily.
That’s especially true if Jack lets Diane officially take up residence in the Abbott house.
Diane’s permanent move-in might be the catalyst for Summer separating from Kyle and taking a break from all the chaos.
Could Summer make some updates to her living arrangements soon?
