The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, January 27, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) asked if Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) could trust Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) with her line and wondered if Hope had really thought this through.
After everything Thomas had done, Steffy pointed out that Hope would be compromising her values to work with him.
Once Steffy asked if Hope had talked to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) about this, she urged Hope to think of what it could do to her marriage.
Hope suddenly decided that Steffy was right and couldn’t believe she was even contemplating rehiring Thomas.
Talk turned to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) eventually, so Steffy reflected on Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) future being at stake.
It was all in Sheila and Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) hands.
However, Steffy held out hope for good news and thought maybe someone would be able to get through to him somehow.
Thomas eavesdropped outside the CEO office door until he heard someone coming, so he didn’t hear Hope decide against bringing him back on board.
Next, Thomas returned to the design office, where he told Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) that he might actually be back on the Hope for the Future line – possibly as soon as today.
Paris was supportive, but Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) barged in and insisted Thomas wasn’t supposed to be in the building.
Charlie had orders from “the head honcho” aka Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), so he wanted Thomas to scram.
Thomas pointed out that his name was on the building, but Charlie said it’d be on an orange jumpsuit if he didn’t get out.
Once Charlie started to call for backup, Thomas finally relented and took off.
At Il Giardino on Friday’s B&B episode, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) sat down at Sheila’s table after a friend tipped him off to her being there.
Finn shut down Sheila’s attempt to call him “sweetheart” and made it clear he didn’t want to see her or even know she was alive.
After Finn warned Sheila to stay away from him as well as Steffy and the children, she said she understood why he was hesitant.
Finn argued that he wasn’t hesitant; he was flat-out telling Sheila that the relationship she wanted would never happen.
Sheila said they’d have to see and pointed out that she was never going to give up on her son.
With the right amount of patience and confidence, Sheila felt she could accomplish anything she put her mind to.
At Bill’s mansion, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) showed up and admitted she was more worried than she’d ever been.
After Katie said she was frightened for Bill and for Will Spencer (last played by Finnegan George), she insisted she’d do whatever it took to save Bill from this unhealthy, dangerous situation.
Bill countered that Katie didn’t see what it was like when he was alone with Sheila – the attention and affection she gave him.
Katie didn’t understand why Bill couldn’t see that he was being played. The Bill that Katie knew and admired wouldn’t allow himself to fall for Sheila’s con.
Once Katie said Sheila’s heart was a cold, dark place, Bill suggested that maybe his heart was, too.
Katie didn’t believe that and apologized if her rejection played any part in him turning to a fugitive.
“I hurt you and I will regret it for the rest of my life,” Katie said. “I’m so, so sorry.”
Even so, Katie wondered if Bill planned to bring Sheila to the Thanksgiving table or to Will’s wedding down the line.
This wasn’t going to work as far as Katie was concerned, so she warned that Will could never meet Sheila.
Furthermore, Katie couldn’t allow Will to be around Bill if Sheila remained in his life. That wasn’t a threat; it was just a fact!
Katie vowed to protect her son, but she truly didn’t want to keep Will away from Bill since their bond was so special.
Bill was upset over Katie turning his back on him when they had pledged to raise Will together, but she reminded him that he wanted Brooke.
After Katie said they hurt each other over and over, she added that it was killing her to see Bill with Sheila.
Bill apologized for all the times he hurt Katie and admitted he was wrong, but he asked if it really had to be the end of their family forever.
Katie insisted it would indeed mean the end of their family, but she hinted that things might be different if Sheila went back to prison.
Bill wondered if Katie was saying she’d take him back – that if Sheila went to prison, Katie would forgive him and that their family could be one again.
After angry Sheila eavesdropped and got updates on that last part, an emotional Katie stared at Bill and contemplated her answer.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Sheila certainly won’t give up Bill without a fight, to stay tuned to B&B!
