The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 8, teases that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will have doubts about letting Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) join their private meeting, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will defend his presence.
Victoria will also insist that thanks to Nate, they have Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) as a key player.
Nate will note that although Audra no longer works for Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), she can get in his ear when she needs to and knows how to play him.
Michael will remain skeptical about whether Audra can be trusted, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will think she can be of use if she’s truly on board.
When Victor asks about Audra’s loyalty, Nate will feel confident that they can trust her and will rattle off reasons why.
Michael will fret over the possibility of Audra playing them instead of Tucker. Besides, Michael won’t think it’s necessary to bring anyone else in on this plot when they have what they need to buy up Tucker’s debts.
Nate will wonder if maybe Tucker went into debt on purpose to set some sort of trap, though he won’t be sure what Tucker’s endgame would be.
Victor won’t see any downside to acquiring Tucker’s debt, but he’ll like the way Nate’s mind works – and Victoria will approve as well.
It’ll be decided that Audra can find out how Tucker would react to them acquiring his debt.
In a moment alone, Nate will assure Victoria that he’ll start laying the groundwork with Audra and proceed with caution.
Back with Michael on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, he’ll point out that Victoria seems to be putting a lot of trust in Nate – and Victor will admit he knows.
At The Grand Phoenix, Tucker will find Audra in the lobby, but she’ll remind him that they’re no longer in cahoots.
Audra won’t see why she should give Tucker info that could help him go up against Newman Media.
However, Audra will eventually suggest she might be willing to offer something if Tucker offers info first.
After Audra asks about Tucker’s debts, he’ll act like it’s a made-up rumor meant to undermine him.
Audra won’t think Tucker’s giving her a straight answer, so she’ll be done letting him waste her time when they have competing interests.
Once Tucker gets a text from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) warning him not to come to Paris, the look on his face will make Audra wonder what’s wrong.
Tucker will ask why it’s any of Audra’s business, so she’ll suggest he’s right and take off.
After Audra arrives at Newman Media, Nate will quiz her about any allegiance she might have left to Tucker.
Audra will insist she has none whatsoever and will offer updates on her interaction with Tucker at The Grand Phoenix earlier.
After Nate reveals that Newman Enterprises intends to acquire McCall Unlimited’s debt, he’ll admit they want her to gauge Tucker’s awareness of what’s afoot and get a read on him.
Audra will think that sounds fun and will assure Nate that she can fix things with Tucker, who never stays mad at her for long.
In Victoria’s office, Michael will insist he’s on the fence about Audra’s involvement, but Victor and Victoria will have faith in Nate to navigate the situation.
Once they’ve acquired Tucker’s debt, then they can tighten the screws.
Victor will think this will be a fitting slap in the face for Tucker after all the damage he’s done.
At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) will open up to each other about their breakups, career goals and overall attempts to rebuild their lives.
It’ll leave Daniel and Chance feeling grateful for the mini support group.
In Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) suite, she’ll be too wound up to eat the takeout Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) got for them.
Nick will mention that it’ll take a few days to get the paternity results back and will advise against stressing out.
Sally will have second thoughts about leaving Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the dark, but Nick will eventually distract her with talk about business.
That’ll lead to Nick admitting that Victor was the reason Sally lost her chance to pitch to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
Sally will call Victor a “jackass” and refuse to let him rob her of her dream, so she’ll agree to let Nick help her try to fix this.
Nick will get Jill on a video call soon after, so she’ll admit Victor gave her a thick dossier detailing all Sally’s old transgressions.
Jill will be surprised over Nick defending Sally after what she did to Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier), but he’ll convince her to hear Sally and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) out.
After Chloe and Sally give their pitch on a separate video call, Jill will be impressed.
Although it might take some time for Jill to make a decision since Chancellor-Winters is in flux, she’ll definitely like what she hears.
Once Chloe hugs Sally over their success and leaves, Nick will admit Sally dazzled him today.
After Nick tells Sally how proud he is, they’ll flirt before things take a passionate turn.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will keep fighting back against her enemies, so that’s bad news for Victor and anyone else who stands in her way!
CDL will have other terrific Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates, so Y&R fans will want to check back often.
