The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, February 10, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will admit to working with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to get Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out of Jabot, but he’ll assure Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that he offered nothing confidential.
Jack will lash out over Kyle going behind his back and hiding behind some noble pretense.
After Jack warns Kyle to let him run the company himself, he’ll demand answers about Victor’s phase two.
Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will catch Adam eavesdropping outside Jack’s office door, but Adam will think he can help – and he’ll feel like Summer should be in on this since Kyle lied about his involvement with Victor.
Once Adam interrupts with Summer, he’ll insist Jack should be thanking Victor and Kyle.
Summer will snap that she hopes those textile mills were worth it, so Jack will fume over another secret and will continue to worry about Victor’s next plan.
Adam will want to make things less stressful by acknowledging that he would’ve done the same thing in Kyle’s position.
As for Adam’s performance, he’ll confess to coasting along for a while now.
Since Adam won’t think that’s going to change, he’ll have an announcement to make.
Adam will insist Jack can fire him or he can quit, but either way he’s leaving Jabot.
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will return from Portugal and grumble at Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) for blabbing about her trip to Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei).
After Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) witnesses the tension, she’ll needle Tucker a bit.
Tucker will hope that they can fix what’s broken between them, so Audra will eventually suggest they could try being friends without benefits.
Although Tucker will think that sounds like a challenge, he’ll also think it sounds doable and will accept Audra’s offer to have a platonic dinner tonight.
At Newman Media, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will give Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) updates on how he’s putting Audra to the test.
If Audra can get back in with Tucker and pass along useful information, then Nate will know he can trust her with more challenging tasks.
Victoria will approve and share a warm moment with Nate over what a great team they make.
Soon after, Victoria will talk about having to move some money around to prepare for this acquisition.
That’ll leave Nate asking questions since he’ll want to know how Victoria’s brilliant mind works.
Once Audra interrupts, Victoria will head out since she was wrapping up with Nate anyway.
Audra will have good news for Nate since she arranged an accidental run-in and played her part perfectly.
Although Audra didn’t want to push for info yet, she’ll reveal Tucker is her friend again and will add that they’re having dinner together tonight.
Nate will praise Audra for the good work, but she’ll suggest holding off on congratulating her.
The goal will still be to find out if Tucker suspects the Newmans are up to something.
At Society, Daniel will fill Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) in on his plan to fire Phyllis for going too far.
Lily will support whatever Daniel decides, but she won’t think he should give up on his reunion with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant).
After Phyllis calls to set up a meeting, Daniel will head to her hotel suite. Once Daniel blasts Phyllis for going to Portugal and meddling without his knowledge, he’ll ask what happened.
Phyllis will try to play it up like the trip went well enough, but she’ll admit Heather still needs time to process and Lucy seemed uncomfortable while she was there.
Daniel will think it sounds like the trip was one great big failure and will gripe over Phyllis forcing the issue too soon.
Although she wasn’t successful, Phyllis won’t think she made things worse either.
Even so, Daniel will be sick of Phyllis’ selfish antics and will want her to stay out of his business.
Daniel will ultimately clarify that he means Phyllis is fired, so he’ll tell her to consider this her official termination notice before slamming out the door.
Once Daniel reconvenes with Lily, he’ll admit he gave Phyllis the ax.
Daniel will feel like Phyllis ruined his chance to reconcile with his family, but Lily will believe he can get things back on track when the time is right.
“No one can resist Daniel Romalotti when he’s firing on all cylinders,” Lily will insist.
Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victor will talk to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) about expediting the McCall Unlimited takeover scheme, but Michael will feel certain that Tucker’s got a backup plan.
Although Tucker won’t give up without a fight, Victor will make it clear that he’s not backing down either.
When Victoria finds Victor, she’ll reveal that all their financing is lined up. That means Victor and Victoria will be ready to make their first move against Tucker.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker could strike back in some unexpected ways, so stay tuned!
