Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 14, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was frustrated with himself following a poor performance at a DiMera meeting.
EJ had been off his game and kept losing his train of thought, so Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) thought it was lucky that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) stepped up to close the Italian deal.
Stefan offered EJ a stiff drink and put another drug dose in it, but Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) arrival threw off his plans.
Chad wanted to get in on the toast, so EJ handed over his drink and decided to stick with water.
Stefan suggested he could pour Chad another drink instead, but EJ didn’t see the need for that.
After Chad took a sip, he spit it back out in the glass and wondered what Stefan put in there since it was so strong.
Chad got a club soda instead and eventually dashed off since he promised the kids they could have pizza tonight.
Although Stefan tried to convince EJ to accept another drink, EJ decided to go shower in hopes of clearing the mental fog.
Once Stefan was alone, he assured Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait that he wasn’t going to kill EJ.
The goal was just to give EJ a few more drug doses so he’d go off the deep end and get kicked out of DiMera Enterprises.
However, Stefan insisted his revenge plot would have to wait since tonight was about love.
Once Stefan pulled out his phone, he prepared to call Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).
Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) also had love on his mind when Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) paid him a visit.
Now that Sloan had taken care of Li’s Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) problem, he wondered what she’d do about his Gabi problem.
Sloan insisted she could drag out the divorce for months or even years, but she felt Li was on his own when it came to any reunion strategies.
Since Li had the cash to pay for Sloan’s time, he wanted her opinion.
Sloan reiterated that she was no expert, but she felt that Li needed to act without worrying about the reaction he’d get. Li realized he needed to be less logical and make an aggressive move from the heart.
At the police station on Tuesday’s Days episode, Gabi complained to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about Dr. Rolf still being in custody since she wanted Stefan “fixed” ASAP.
Rafe acted like Gabi was at least better off than she was before since Stefan’s feelings for her had returned.
Gabi still worried about Stefan’s love for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and the possibility that Stefan was spending Valentine’s Day with her instead.
Rafe thought Stefan must be planning a surprise for Gabi and figured her phone would ring any minute now.
Suddenly, Gabi’s phone really did ring, but it was Li on the other end. Li pushed Gabi to join him for dinner, but the thought of sharing a meal with him made her want to gag.
After Gabi hung up on Li, he gave Sloan updates on his failure. Li eventually invited Sloan to stick around for dinner, but she took a call from Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and accepted his dinner offer instead.
Once Li was alone, he fantasized about Gabi coming back to him and being happy in their marriage again.
Outside the pub, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) ran into Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and thanked her for the flowers she sent following Kayla Brady Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) death.
Jada also talked about still living above the pub following her breakup from Eric, but she acted like it was no big deal since they didn’t really cross paths.
Of course, Eric appeared at that very moment for an awkward conversation with Jada.
Jada mentioned Eric moving on with Sloan, but he insisted that was just a casual thing. As for Jada, she wasn’t looking to rush into anything new, but Eric felt that the person she ended up with would be lucky.
Later, Jada spotted Rafe while he was picking up pub takeout, so he sat down and joined her for a friendly Valentine’s Day meal.
At the Horton house on Tuesdays’ DOOL show, Stephanie showed up after getting Chad’s message inviting her over. It was a good distraction for Stephanie since she was trying not to think about Kayla’s funeral tomorrow.
After pizza, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) gave Stephanie a heart cookie they’d decorated.
Stephanie offered some heart candies in return, so Chad was pleased over how much his kids liked spending time with her.
At Basic Black on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) grumbled over the flowers Stefan sent to Chloe and threw them in the trash.
Nicole arrived and realized Brady was upset over not being able to find Chloe, so she admitted she’d heard from her.
Brady wanted to know where Chloe was, but Nicole refused to divulge that news since Chloe didn’t want to see Stefan or Brady right now.
Chloe was freaked out and needed alone time, so Brady agreed to give her space.
Brady also opened up about Eric drinking again and going through a rough patch, so Nicole confessed that she already knew. The conversation shifted to whatever might be going on between Nicole and EJ, but Nicole took off.
Next, Brady left Chloe a voicemail wishing her a happy Valentine’s Day and assuring her of his love.
Back at the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Nicole found EJ to make sure he was OK after his strange behavior at the earlier meeting.
EJ was fresh out of the shower and wearing only a towel when Nicole walked in.
After EJ insisted he was feeling better, he invited Nicole to go on the proper date he’d been promising her tonight.
It took some convincing, but Nicole agreed and seemed to be enjoying EJ’s body as she turned to go get changed.
At The Bistro, Eric complimented Sloan’s appearance, but she warned this wasn’t a date. When Sloan asked what they should call it instead, Eric smiled and said foreplay.
The mood took a sour turn when Eric and Sloan looked up to find that Nicole had just walked in the restaurant with EJ.
After Gabi realized she missed Stefan’s call, she listened to his voicemail inviting her over for dinner.
Gabi got all dressed up for her Valentine’s Day date with Stefan, who gushed over how beautiful she looked when she arrived at the DiMera mansion.
Stefan eventually kissed Gabi, who wanted to skip dinner and just head straight for the bedroom.
That was fine by Stefan, but he botched things big time by telling “Chloe” that he loved her.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi will blow her top over Stefan calling her the wrong name, so stay tuned for more drama.
