General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is in a coma for now, but that happens if he wakes up at some point? Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss seems content to stay in control of Nikolas for now, so that could lead to Nik being held prisoner for a while.
It would serve Nikolas right after the way he locked up pregnant Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) in the north tower of Wyndemere.
Esme has done some truly awful things, but that doesn’t make it right to hold her against her will.
Nikolas should’ve behaved like a reasonable person and turned Esme into the authorities.
Instead, Nikolas thought he could contain the baby news and handle things his way, but that plan obviously didn’t work out very well.
Perhaps Nikolas will eventually get a taste of his own medicine if he awakens and comes off life support.
Mason might alert the boss to Nikolas regaining consciousness and get new orders to take him somewhere for safekeeping.
Nikolas won’t be written back into the canvas anytime soon, so this could be another way to keep him out of the picture – at least until GH writers feel it’s time to bring back the character.
It’s easy to imagine Nikolas complaining as he’s locked away in a cell somewhere.
Nikolas declare that he’s a powerful Cassadine and vow that they won’t get away with this, but there won’t be much he can do about his predicament.
It’ll be interesting to see if Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is the one to get Nikolas out of his jam or if somebody else might come to his rescue – like Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Spencer feels guilty for letting Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) use him along with Esme, so maybe saving Nikolas down the road could offer a chance at redemption.
It would certainly go a long way toward restoring Nikolas and Spencer’s faith
er-son bond.
