General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could have a few tricks up his sleeve. After Sonny explained why he was keeping Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) at a distance on the Pikeman deal, he admitted he still wanted him to come check out the warehouse for training purposes.
Since the whole point of this was making sure Dex could sense security vulnerabilities, we have to wonder if maybe Sonny himself arranged the “threat.”
What if Sonny is actually putting Dex through an extreme loyalty test and making sure he’s up for the challenge?
Sonny trusted Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) completely, which is exactly the kind of situation you want when you’re a mob boss with a right-hand man backing you up.
Unfortunately, Sonny isn’t there yet in the trust department with Dex, but maybe things will improve after this ordeal.
Of course, it’s also possible the threat is legit, but Dex believes it’s real either way.
That’s why Dex warned Sonny to watch out and shoved him down as the first shot was fired on the March 10 episode.
Sonny will share some intense moments with Dex as they try to flee on March 13, but that could be part of the act.
Maybe Sonny will be testing Dex and observing whether he can stay calm while facing grave danger.
Naturally, Sonny may also want to know if Dex is willing to risk his own life to protect him – and Dex is already proving that’s true.
GH spoilers say Sonny will be quite impressed with Dex when this is all over, so he may decide Dex can truly enter the circle of trust.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is sure to freak when she gets updates on the gunman news and will be truly outraged if she finds out it was all Sonny’s trick.
It could leave Josslyn more determined than ever to make sure Dex ditches Sonny’s organization for good.
General Hospital spoilers say some curveballs are ahead, especially since Dex is secretly working for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on Sonny’s downfall!
