Tonight’s The Blacklist episode begins with Senator Panabaker, she is speaking to a crowd when her security sees something, they head over to a boy with a black jacket and check his pockets, but nothing. Cooper is there, as a regular civilian to support an old friend. All of a sudden, someone shouts “he’s got a gun,” Cooper pushes Panabaker down, both of her security guards have been unarmed and one of them is shot.

Red is with Cooper, he bring him down to an old bathhouse. Cooper looks around and asks Red if he is actually living there, the place should be condemned. Red wants to discuss what happened to Panabaker, stolen radios and missing guns. Highly trained individuals and someone brought them to their knees.

Red says they are pickpockets, they study their prey and figure out what action provokes reaction. And once their diversion has you exactly where they want you, they sink their teeth in so fast that you don’t see them act. They call themselves the Four Guns. Red doesn’t think they took a shot at Panabaker, he thinks someone else did and they are going to try again. Red says it is going to take a thief to catch an assassain.

At the bureau, Cooper is going over the case with the task force. He tells them that Red is confident that the pickpockets aided in the attack, so finding them, will lead them to the shooter.

Cooper meets with Panabaker and tells her that he wants to repay his debt to her, he will find the shooter.

The shooter is seen removing his silicone mask prosthetic.

Red is investigating books that have a gold emblem on them, the emblem is made from arsenic, so they are kept under lock and key. We then see Robert Vesco in prison, an inmate gives him a wrapped package and says it is courtesy of Raymond Reddington. Vesco wants to refuse it and the inmate says he wouldn’t do that, he is supposed to make sure he takes it.

Vesco takes it, opens it and finds a book inside, “Oliver Twist,” with a note, “Robert, as Dickens said: there are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best parts. Raymond.” Vesco calls him a “cryptic bastard,” and keeps the book.

The gun used to shoot Panbaker’s security was found in a trash bin, all the prints were smudged, there is only a half of a thumb print. Red calls in, he has someone who can identify it.

The thumb print belongs to Quinton Dodd, aka The Hook, aka The Mechanic, aka The Claw, etc. He has an obsession for five figure watches.

Ressler goes under cover at a luxury watch event and Dodd takes the bite, he tries to pick pocket Ressler’s watch, but is soon seeing handcuffs and Ressler tells him its a fake.

Dodd is in custody and he says he follows the rules, they won’t find his prints on the gun. He is very smart, he knows that the most they have on him is maybe a year in lockup.

Cooper tells Panabaker about the pick pockets and she doesn’t buy it. She tells him that she has faith in her time. Cooper wants Ressler with her when she goes in public next time.

Next, Red has Dodd and asks him to read him, and he does to a tee. But, Red tells him he missed something in his back pocket, the people who mean a lot to him like Panabaker. Then, Teddy walks in and Red tells him that he tried to take from him, so he is going to take his hand. Teddy shows off the tools, and one of them, Teddy says its a clean way to sever a limb. Dodd finally talks. He says that he and his team where pulling a job when this security guard ambushed them, he had footage of them. They went along with his plan so he wouldn’t oust them. And this guy, scared Dodd.

The task force go to an address that Dodd gives up for the guy. On the wall in the room Is the guy with president Diaz, a former disgraced president. They send the assassins photo to the face services unit and they have a hit, Lucas Roth, ex secret service who retired at 49, a year before he had to.

In prison, Vesco is readying his book when he starts gasping for breath and says he can’t breathe.

Panabaker is on stage speaking to a group, Ressler is there and so is Roth who pulls the fire alarm. Everyone starts to rush out. Ressler tries to follow Panabaker but she is whisked away by secret service and Ressler thinks it is a setup, and so it is. Roth pulls a gun on the Special Agent Will Strickland who is with Panabaker.

Cooper is on site with Ressler who tells him that Panabaker never made it to the car. They look at building plans and Cooper tells them to search the place room by room. And, turns out that Roth hates Strickland, Cooper thinks Roth was after him and not Panabaker. Little does Roth know, Panabaker has a gun hidden, she pulls it out and points at Roth who tells her to wait, he plays a recording of her in a private conversation and tells her that Strickland did it. Panabaker ends up shooting Row, not fatally, but when Cooper and Ressler show up, she tells them to take both Roth and Strickland into custody.

Red has Dodd and his team cut Vesco loose from the hospital, they get him downstairs and Red is waiting for him in a Hearst. At first, Vesco is reluctant to get in, but he does when Red tells him he is a free man.

Ressler has Strickland in custody, he finally admits what he did and says that Panabaker is unfit to run for office. Roth did what he did to oust Strickland.

Cooper finds Panabaker in her office crying, she says she couldn’t let fear slow her down. Cooper tells her that on the news they are calling her Cynthia Sixth Shooter, they toast.

Red is with Vesco in a plane, and he wants to know if he is his guest or prisoner. Vesco than asks what he has under his sleeve. Red has a gift for him, another book, Treasure Island.

THE END!!
