The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 6, teases that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will talk to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) remains and how there was too much fire damage to get a viable autopsy.
However, there’ll be a court order for a tox screen on the blood sample that was found.
Christine will mull over the idea that Phyllis was poisoned by Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) or someone else they haven’t even considered yet.
Afterward on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Chance will speak to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about her complicated history with Phyllis, so she’ll open up about their feud as well as the kindness Phyllis showed her when she had cancer.
In a GCAC suite, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will struggle to believe Phyllis is really gone and will talk to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about Phyllis being such an important part of his life.
Nick will mention breaking the news to Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), but he’ll admit he hasn’t had the heart to tell Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) yet.
Although Nick won’t know how to help Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) through this, Sally will feel confident he’s going to step up and be the best dad as usual.
Back with Christine, she’ll learn Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) has some new information that relates to the case.
Michael will sit with Christine on the Crimson Lights patio and play a final voicemail that he received from Phyllis.
In that voicemail, Phyllis will talk about Diane being out of control and getting rid of anyone standing in her way.
After Phyllis says Diane attacked her and threatened to kill her, she’ll insist she’s “actually afraid of that crazy bitch.”
Michael will feel conflicted since he considers Diane a friend too, but he’ll realize it’d take a lot for Phyllis to sound so terrified.
Christine will find it almost comical that she’s in charge of getting Phyllis justice since she’s been her worst enemy for so long.
Michael will end up laughing and pointing out that it’s almost like Phyllis planned this.
Christine will turn serious again and note that Phyllis said she had to speak out to protect herself at the gala. It’ll leave Christine wondering why.
At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will be far more stoic than last night and will act like she can’t fall apart again – not when there’s work to be done.
Despite Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) efforts to make Summer rest, she’ll want to get started on memorial service plans.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will stop by with an offer to help, but Summer will insist on being the one to handle things and make his service what Phyllis would want.
In a moment alone with Jack, Victor will comment on how strange it was for the ambulance to crash and burn.
Jack will echo that it was a bizarre series of events and will agree it was odd for the ambulance to take such a secluded route.
When Victor asks if Jack’s engagement announcement could’ve set Phyllis off, he’ll hope Victor isn’t suggesting that Diane was involved in any way.
If Victor wants answers, Jack will think all roads lead to Jeremy.
Victor will be inclined to agree, but he’ll have to wonder if the cops are asking Jeremy the right questions.
In her motel room with Jeremy, Phyllis will be alarmed when someone shows up at the door.
It’ll end up being EMT Carson (Walter Belenky), who’ll be there to collect his final payment from Stark.
Phyllis will ask if the police bought the story, so Carson will confirm that he stuck to the script and that everything went according to plan.
If the cops ask more questions, Jeremy will warn Carson to once again stick to what he was told or else they’ll have a problem.
Once Carson takes his money and leaves, Phyllis will worry about how skittish the guy was and wonder if he can be trusted.
Jeremy will reassure Phyllis about Carson as well as the ambulance driver, who was given a new identify and money to start a new life somewhere.
As for the two bodies that were found at the crash site, they were just a Mr. and Mrs. John Doe from the morgue.
Jeremy will look forward to Diane becoming a top murder suspect and landing behind bars where she belongs.
Phyllis will seem somber as she talks about being wiped out of existence, so Jeremy will hope that’s not regret in her voice.
Although Phyllis will worry about her kids, Jeremy will trash them for how they treated her and point out that she knew this would be hard on them.
After Jeremy says it’s time to go their separate ways, he’ll suggest that he’ll always look back fondly on their brief marriage.
Jeremy will note that it was generous of Phyllis to change her will so that half her fortune when to her children and the other half went to him.
Of course, Jeremy will add that Phyllis isn’t walking away empty-handed since she’s getting a passport and a new identity along with a new phone and a hefty amount of cash.
Once Jeremy says Diane can start over and go anywhere she wants, she’ll admit she didn’t think much about the future.
Jeremy will call a car to take Phyllis to the airport, so she’ll complain since she won’t know where she wants to go yet.
Even so, Jeremy will argue that Phyllis has to get as far away from Genoa City as possible.
After Phyllis is safely out of town, Jeremy will suggest she can pick a new homebase or travel the world.
Jeremy will be adamant about Phyllis picking a place and leaving tonight, but she’ll seem miserable as she looks at memorial service updates on her phone.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis’ regrets are going to cause major issues for her, so stay tuned!
