The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) could be gearing up for a shocking new storyline. B&B fans know Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) has been concerned since Hope just isn’t acting like herself lately.
Even viewers were surprised when Hope flew off the handle and attacked Brooke over her man-hopping history.
We’re seeing shades of a very different Hope – and it all stems from her attempt to run from Brooke’s past.
Hope doesn’t want to be anything like her mother, which is why a dissociative identity disorder storyline could be ideal here.
Could the show be on the verge of giving Hope an alternate personality?
Hope might become so upset at the thought of falling for a bad boy that she actually becomes a bad girl – at least when this new personality comes out to play.
There’s no denying that Hope has been under a tremendous amount of stress lately.
Hope is working long hours trying to revive her line and struggling with complicated feelings for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Plus, Hope has to worry about the strain on her marriage to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and this self-imposed vow to be nothing like Brooke.
We’re also seeing Hope have these fantasies of Thomas, but let’s call them what they are: hallucinations.
Hope literally has moments where Thomas appears to her instead of her own husband – like when she was making love to Liam on the couch at the cabin.
You could absolutely argue that signs of mental illness are creeping in.
The end of the April 13 episode further backed up that idea. Hope’s brain was bombarding her with all sorts of Thomas thoughts and daydreams, so it seems like her mental health could be getting worse.
This might be a way to preserve Hope’s saintly side and still have the drama of her ending up in Thomas’ bed.
Could all this pressure lead to Hope having a mental break?
Could Hope lose touch with reality and switch to another personality – a bad girl who behaves more like Brooke and is eager to play with fire?
If B&B wants to take the DID route, Hope could get updates on a stunning diagnosis down the road.
It could lead to Hope getting mental help if she goes completely off the rails with one or more alters.
