General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 24, reveals that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) choked on her coffee when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) said Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were getting married.
However, Diane eventually got down to business with Carly and admitted she wasn’t going to like her SEC options.
Carly refused to throw Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) under the bus, so Diane pointed out that Carly knew where the bodies were buried as the former Mrs. Corinthos.
Since Carly also refused to attack Sonny, Diane pointed out that left her holding the bag. At the end of the day, Carly said it was her mess and added that she was willing to pay for it if she had to.
At Sonny’s place, Ava Jerome (Maura West) brought over Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), who spotted Nina’s ring and got updates on her engagement to Sonny.
Avery was thrilled and wanted to be the flower girl at the upcoming wedding.
While Avery was playing on her tablet in the bedroom, Ava congratulated Sonny and Nina before he dashed off to break the news to Cary.
Since Nina could tell Ava was holding back, she asked what Ava really thought once they were alone.
Ava insisted that Nina’s relationship had become a ticking time bomb ever since she turned Carly and Drew in for insider trading.
If Sonny found out about that, Ava insisted Nina’s relationship was over forever.
After Ava said Nina could either come clean or keep digging this hole and pray she got to China, Nina said there was only one choice.
“It’s time for the gloves to come off,” Nina declared.
Back at Carly’s place, she told Sonny to come in when he showed up at the kitchen door. That led to Sonny and Carly staring at each other awkwardly.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up earlier than planned since she wanted to talk about her sister.
Alexis assumed Sam meant Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and said she was worried about her, too.
Sam actually meant Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), but she wondered what was up with Molly since Alexis was concerned.
Alexis assured Sam that it wasn’t life-threatening and felt confident that Molly would share with her soon.
Sam was uneasy about the LGBTQ shelter that Kristina was starting up and suggested her sister didn’t know what she was getting herself into.
When Kristina arrived, she blew in vowing to change Port Charles forever and showed Sam as well as Alexis all her grand plans.
Kristina felt she had a real chance to make a difference this time, but Sam kept pointing out problems and shutting down certain aspects of her vision.
Kristina finally asked if Sam didn’t believe in this project or if she just didn’t believe in her.
Sam acted like Kristina’s priorities were out of order since she was focusing on things like the website and colors of the building instead of at-risk teens who’d need professional help.
After Sam pushed Alexis to weigh in, her mom chose to stay positive and trust that Kristina knew what she doing.
Sam worried since Kristina had a habit of getting great ideas and not following through, but Kristina felt that Sam just wanted to suck all the joy out of this.
Once Kristina complained about Sam throwing her off her game, she left the room to take the contractor’s call.
Alexis suggested Sam might’ve come down a little hard on Kristina, but Sam felt that Krissy was an adult and needed to understand.
As for Alexis, she talked about having to bite her tongue since Kristina didn’t speak to her for a month the last time she offered advice.
Since Alexis couldn’t predict the future, she figured she might as well have faith.
At home, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) thought maybe Molly should take the day off work, but she fired back that she wasn’t sick.
Molly also wasn’t pregnant and never would be, but TJ reminded her that they could still have a family.
Since Molly hadn’t been honest about the severity of her endometriosis symptoms, TJ was upset over her holding back with him.
Molly wound up blaming herself for not seeking treatment sooner and felt that she should be able to give TJ a child.
Although TJ tried to reassure Molly, she said she needed time to come to terms with this and stormed out the door for work.
Later, TJ left Molly a voicemail to let her know that he loved her and was always there for her.
In the boxing gym, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was distracted by his earlier conversation with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) when Drew arrived.
Drew mentioned how he needed dirt on Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to strongarm Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) into making the SEC drama go away.
Curtis offered to help before talk turned to the holding pattern he was in with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
After Curtis questioned whether he should’ve ended his marriage to Jordan so quickly, Drew pushed him to focus on the status of his current marriage first.
Curtis brought up Portia’s deception and said love didn’t change what she did, but Drew pointed out that it did change Curtis’ capacity to forgive.
At GH, Jordan flashed back to kissing Curtis before Portia approached her for a conversation.
After Portia thanked Jordan for putting her career in jeopardy to hold off the WSB, she said she was forever grateful.
Portia also brought up how Jordan helped with the Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) situation and was thankful since Jordan had consistently looked out for her family.
Once Portia apologized, she felt she should’ve accepted Jordan’s advice sooner and thought maybe she should ask Jordan how to save her marriage.
Portia retracted the question before Jordan offered guidance on Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who would understand her mom’s perspective in time.
Since Portia felt she hadn’t given Jordan enough credit, Jordan tried to shut down all the praise.
“Stop…I’m not the person you think I am,” Jordan said.
