General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the excitement’s about to heat up in Port Charles, so we’ve got a sizzling summer preview for you. Several storylines will deliver some great twists and turns in the months ahead, so let’s talk about what fans can look forward to.
For starters, Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will have a new problem on their hands thanks to Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey), who’ll blackmail them into doing his dirty work.
It looks like Austin and Ava will get confirmation that Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Adam Huss) is alive and on ice, so they’ll have to deal with Mason’s mess and try to figure out a path forward.
Mason seems like the kind of character who could end up dead sooner or later, so he may want to watch his back!
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will likely face a new threat to their relationship.
Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) will return to PC soon, so Trina’s protective uncle could easily side with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and plot to get Spencer out of his niece’s life.
Of course, Zeke is quite handsome and will presumably be an eligible bachelor, so could Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) catch his eye?
Something tells us Jordan and Zeke might make a hot pair – though Portia might have some issues with the idea of Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) ex dating her brother.
Regardless, Zeke has a substantial storyline coming up, so he could bring some secrets back to Port Charles and cause some drama in the process.
In the meantime, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will play with fire as she tries to manipulate the situation with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
GH fans know Nina’s hoping to pit Carly and Drew against each other, which could lead to Drew turning on Carly in court.
Nina also wants Carly to land in prison, but you can bet that her plan’s going to end in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) fury sooner or later.
Speaking of Sonny, he’ll remain determined to retaliate against the person behind the warehouse attack.
Sonny could be gearing up for a major war with this mysterious enemy once he or she is revealed this summer.
Of course, we can’t forget about the Pikeman evidence Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) decided not to use.
That video proof may not stay under wraps for good, especially since Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is so desperate to make sure Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) can be free of the mob and live to tell the tale.
Next, Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) eyes will finally be opened when it comes to Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and how she’s exploited her daughter-in-law’s guardianship.
That’s good news for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is bound to create a few more messes along the way.
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is also set to come home from Stanford during summer break, so Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will be thrilled along with Cam’s brothers.
It’ll be interesting to see if Cameron finds new love or if maybe he’s already found someone new offscreen.
Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) will continue working at The Invader and could easily find herself drawn to Cameron once he’s back in the picture.
After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) gets arrested for crimes related to her DVX past, it may be up to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to intervene and somehow get her cleared of the charges.
Finally, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) may find a new sense of purpose.
Will Kristina eventually propose being Molly Lansing-Davis’ (temporarily played by Holiday Mia Kriegel) surrogate and offer to help her start a family with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow)?
It looks like that’s the current story direction, so we’ll see if the show sticks to the plan this summer.
If so, TJ and Molly could get some baby news sooner than they expected.
