The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) might face some drama ahead of their upcoming wedding. Could a prenup become a problem and lead to some conflict?
Y&R fans know that Jack has been concerned about Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) own engagement to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), especially since it now seems like they might get married ASAP.
Jack and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are on the same page when it comes to their concerns about Tucker, who could land a seat on the Jabot board and potentially even take over the company at some point.
In the June 6 episode, Jack mentions the idea of a prenup and how he wishes Ashley would at least ask for one instead of making herself vulnerable to Tucker’s manipulation.
Of course, that makes us curious whether Jack will follow his own advice and ask Diane for a prenup as well.
Considering all the wealth and power Jack is bringing to this marriage, it’d be a reasonable request.
Even so, the show could use this as a way to stir up some trust issues for Jack and Diane before they tie the knot.
Will Diane feel blindsided if Jack pushes her to sign a prenuptial agreement?
Could it lead to Diane acting like Ashley is getting inside Jack’s head and making him doubt her?
It’s possible Jack could be guilt-tripped into tearing up the prenup – or maybe he could finally face a few doubts about Diane based on her prenup reaction.
Now would be a great time to create some friction in Jack and Diane’s relationship since they’ve been coasting along for quite a while now.
Some viewers are convinced that Diane is still up to no good, but the show needs to start showing some warning signs if that’s the case.
They’re making it seem like Diane is as good as gold instead, so maybe the prenup situation could be a shady turning point.
It’s possible Diane will throw Jack for a loop if she’s the one to suggest the prenup.
It might be interesting if Diane played mind games and left Jack thinking he could trust her since she brought the idea up herself.
However, Jack would be a perfectly logical groom if he presented the prenuptial agreement first, so we’ll see how this potential prenup news comes into play.
