The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 12, reveals that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will insist her phony witness idea could work and will settle on EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) as the best person to claim Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) killed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in self-defense.
Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will doubt that Summer can find Carson, who wouldn’t be a credible witness even if she could.
Despite Daniel’s attempts to steer Summer away from the idea, she’ll feel like he’s just got a bad attitude.
Later, Phyllis will contact Summer via video call from an undisclosed location, but she won’t like this Carson plan either and won’t want her daughter dragged into any other drama.
Summer won’t know if her marriage can be fixed, but Phyllis will act like that has to be her priority.
After Phyllis reaches out to Daniel next, she’ll warn him to make sure Summer stays out of trouble, so he’ll turn to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for help getting through to her.
Kyle will acknowledge that he’s not in a good place with Summer right now and won’t believe Summer cares what he thinks anyway.
In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, she’ll have a plan to handle the aftermath of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) arrest.
Victoria will think Nick needs to take a leave of absence as she tries to do damage control.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will suggest Nick can just take personal time off instead and will exit for a meeting.
That’ll leave Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to quiz Victoria about the real reason for her leave of absence suggestion.
Nikki will suspect Victoria wants Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to be Newman Enterprises’ COO.
Victoria will think Nikki’s implying that she wants Nick out of the company, so she’ll deny it.
That said, if Nick wanted out for good and came to her with that decision, Victoria would certainly think about replacing him with Nate.
Once Nate hears the news about Nick’s possible leave of absence, he’ll give Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) updates and leave her excited about their plan potentially progressing.
Nearby, Y&R Spoilers say Victor will raise an eyebrow over Audra and Nate looking a little too chummy at Society’s bar!
After Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) promises Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will be safe, he’ll leave Nick to settle down in jail until his arraignment later.
Michael will stop by Sharon’s place, where Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will be staying so that she can get some sleep and have some peace of mind.
After Michael offers to get a restraining order against Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) for Sharon, he’ll meet with Summer at Society and hear her shady pitch about bribing EMT Carson as a phony witness.
Michael will nix that plan, but he’ll still see the potential for Carson to help Phyllis’ case if they can find him.
That’ll lead to Summer pleading with Victor to use his resources and help her track this EMT down.
Victor won’t be keen on helping Phyllis since she faked her death and put Summer through so much grief, but he’ll be unable to say no to his granddaughter’s pouty face.
While Victor agrees to have his people search for Carson, Sharon will freak over Faith not getting in touch.
Faith was supposed to send Sharon a text to let her know she got on her flight safely, but that text will never come.
Once Sharon tries Faith’s phone and gets sent to voicemail, the same thing will happen when Chance reaches out to the cop who was supposed to watch over Faith.
Chance will finally confirm with the airline that Faith never made it on the plane, so Sharon will seem totally terrified over what Cameron might’ve done with her.
