Tongiht’s episode begins with the 20th season of The Bachelorette, this time Charity Lawson is seeing as the leading lady who 25 men will have to work hard to win her heart. Charity was the fourth-runner up on Zack Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor. It will be a journey filled with romance and love.
The 25 men are, Aaron B., Aaron. S., Adrian, Brayden, Caleb A., Caleb B., Chris, Dotun, James, Joe, Joey, John, John Henry, Josh, Kaleb K., Khalid, Michael, Nic, Sean, Spencer, Tanner, Taylor, Warwick and Xavier.
Charity has three siblings, she is the youngest. Her parents have been married for 48 years and she is hoping to find the same thing. She was in a relationship for six years and there was a all of cheating, she drew the line, she deserves more. One of her brothers, Nehemiah, is her best friend and he truly hopes she finds her person. She will not settle, she wants someone who is head over heels for her.
Its time, the first limo is arriving and Jesse tells her, “let the journey begin.” The first one out of the limo is Aaron B., he tells her that her sparkles match her eyes, he is a Software Sales Executive and loves connecting at the beach. Josh tells her that he believes his heart is full of promise and warmth to protect her. Joey is a Tennis Pro who lives in Hawaii, he is a hopeless romantic and he brought her a flower from Hawaii to wear in her ear.
Warwick is a Construction Manger, his parents met on a flight, so he brought her a one way ticket to his hometown. Xavier is finishing his degree in biochemistry and science nerd, he likes to knit and play the ukulele. Caleb is a family doctor and he tells her that she looks stunning, he has her listen to his heart, beating just for her. K
Khalid is a Tech Recruiter and he says he knows that her name means love, his name means eternal, she says they should put them together. NIck is a HR Executive and says he will fight for her. John Henry is a Commecial Diver and says he wants to dive in with her. Aaron S. Is a Firefighter who brought a candle, and wants to make a wish with her for the journey.
Tanner is a Mortgage Lender , he brought her a Tanner towel. Chris is a World Record Jumper, he flips backwards for her. Brayden is a Travel Nurse, he brings them both a shot. Spencer is a Medical Sales Director, he tells her that he loves martial arts and teaches her a move, Charity calls him a wild card. Caleb B is a Pro Wrestler and a cowboy, and Charity is excited.
Joe is a Tech Operations Director who it tall, buy not taller than Caleb K., a Construction Salesman Adrian is a Realtor, James is an Attorney, Peter is an Airline Pilot, Michael, a Yacht Captain, brought Charity a pendant bracelet with a boat. Taylor, a Loan Officer, does a home video and says “hey kids, I’m meeting your mom for the first time.” Sean is a Software Sales Rep and he brings an oversized cheque and says he wants to make a donation to charity, his heart. John, a Data Scientist brought her a fortune cookie, she opens it and says she will meet the man of her dreams tonight. Donut is an Integrative Medicine Consultant and has to be the tallest man so far, he was born in Nigeria, his parents worked hard to give him the life he has. When he watched the Bachelor, Charity stuck out to him and he is excited to get to know her. Charity says he is a charmer and she needs to keep her eye on him.
Jesse tells Charity another limo is coming and the man inside is somebody she already knows. He reached out to the show and he was adamant that he be there tonight, so they decided to give him the opportunity. The limo pulls up, it is her brother Nehemiah. She cannot believe it, he tells her that she looks so beautiful and he is so excited for her. He is her best friend and her rock. She is so grateful that he is there. Charity thinks he is there to be supportive, but what she doesn’t know is that he is going to listen and watch everything the men say and do. He starts off by putting on a disguise, he is going to be the bartender. He is the undercover brother.
Charity goes inside and gives her welcome speech, then sits down with Joey who says all the right things, she admits he gives her butterflies. James brings a box that his parents sent for the two of them, it is a letter for Charity and he is surprised and apologizes, says he didn’t know his mom would do that. They also send cider and donuts from their apple orchard in Indiana. Charity says he is a sweet soul, she was almost brought to tears reading the letter. Xavier gets the first kiss, and she leaned in for it. She admits he takes her by surprise, the kiss was almost too good to be true.
Nehemiah is working the bar, trying to make it believable while listening to the men. Michael tells him he doesn’t like the petite type, he likes women that are more curvaceous.
John is buzzing after spending time with Charity, she leans in for a kiss and there are sparks. Jesse walks in and puts the first impression rose on the table everyone wants it.
Spencer has some alone time with Charity, he has something to tell her, he has a son. He tells her that he feared so much to tell her that. She takes it well.
Aaron B. sits down at the piano and sings a poem to her. He tells her that his parents just had their 32nd anniversary, they gave him a lot of advice, unconditional love being one of them. They kiss as well, and it is another long one. She calls him a charmer and says he is there for her. Things keep getting better.
Elsewhere, Josh tells Nehemiah that he recognizes him from somewhere, he looks so familiar.
Brayden and Charity hit it off right away, they chat, and she is so giddy, and they seal their time with a kiss that he says was amazing. They just continue and a lot of the men are watching. Its tough for the guys they are all chasing the same girl. He goes to the bar after and says he can’t even talk after that, she is such a good kisser. Nehemiah thinks he is confident, bordering on arrogant. Brayden has a huge ego, he says he was like Humphrey Bogart and thinks he will get the first impression rose.
Nehemiah goes in to see all the men, and tells them he is not actually a a bartender, he is Charity’s brother. What a shocker. He says he has heard some good things, and some questionable things, and is now going to go and speak to his sister.
Nehemiah tells Charity that he disguised himself as a bartender and listened to all the men’s conversations all night. He asks her who she is giving the first impression rose to, then they continue their chat. He says he heard good things and some interesting things. He was very surprised by Aaron B., he was very authentic. Then he talks about Brayden, he was very hopeful for the night, but came back after spending time with her and changed from confidence to arrogance and he calls that problematic. He even boldly said he would get the rose. He knows she can make his own choices, but if she needs him, he will be there.
Charity goes back to see the men and asks Brayden to speak with her in private. The other men are not surprised. She mentions that he was over confident about being there and getting the first impression rose. He tries to back himself out of the corner, she asks for space and walks away. She has had time to think, she tells him that for him to share with her brother how strong he feels about their connection, it means a lot, and she wants to give him the first impression rose, he is a breath of fresh air for her and she feels the same way.
Jesse stops the cocktail party, time for Charity to make her decision on who gets a rose and who doesn’t. The first rose goes to Aaron B., then John, Caleb B., Warwick, Aaron S., Caleb A., Adrian, James, Sean, Michael, Tanner, Dotun, Kaleb K., John Henry, Josh and the final rose goes to Spencer.
Charity hates this, sending people home, but she has to stay true to her heart and find the person that is the best fit for her. She feels confident that her husband is in the room.
