Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will be living awfully close to each other now that Alex has taken an apartment across the hall.
That news caught Stephanie and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) off guard, but Chad was surely more annoyed by this development than his girlfriend. Stephanie truly wants to be friends with Alex – at least that’s what she keeps telling herself.
However, Days spoilers suggest there may be part of Stephanie that wants something more.
After all, Stephanie’s romance with Alex ended rather abruptly when he knocked her out of a chance to say goodbye to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
Alex shut off Stephanie’s cell phone and made her miss that final farewell at the hospital, but it wasn’t so final in the end!
Kayla is still alive and just had to find her way back home after that horrifying ordeal with Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson), Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and her fellow hostages.
Now that Kayla’s back and Stephanie has forgiven Alex, could Stephanie be wondering what might’ve been on some level?
Stephanie has strengthened her bond with Alex in recent months, so that could be in preparation for a shocking turn in this Days storyline.
Days viewers know Chad just accepted Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) offer to work at Titan, so that’ll bring new opportunities to get under Alex’s skin. Alex will also make excuses to keep stopping by Stephanie and Chad’s place, which is important to keep in mind.
DOOL fans will see Alex deliver surprising updates in the coming episodes, but Chad may think Alex is just looking for reasons to spend extra time with Stephanie and irritate him in the process.
Of course, all of this will be on top of the changes in Chad and Stephanie’s living arrangement. It can be tough to adjust to living with someone, so there could be some conflict now that Stephanie and Chad are under the same roof.
It’ll be easy for Stephanie to lean on Alex when he’s right across the hall – and it could be easy for her to cheat with him, too!
Soapy neighbor scenarios like this often result in betrayals, so will Stephanie hit the sheets with Alex again at some point?
If Stephanie has a huge fight with Chad that sends him stomping off to sleep elsewhere, she should show up on Alex’s doorstep distraught. That could certainly lead to Alex taking Stephanie to bed if she wants that kind of comfort.
Whatever the case, Stephanie and Chad have been making some big changes to their relationship that they may not be ready for.
