Tonight’s The Bachelorette episode begins with Charity and her men being in New Orleans. Charity knows this is a pivotal week going into hometowns. She has six guys remaining and it will go down to four very soon. She has difficult decision to make and wants to maximize her time with the men who are left. Charity meets the men at a café, the men are all excited to see her. She tells them that the week is going to be so much fun.

Aaron B. lived in New Orleans for seven years and feels in his comfort zone, he hopes he gets the one on one and gets to show her around. A horse drawn carriage pulls up, Charity says she would love to stay and chat, but she is going on a one on one date with Joey. The other men say Joey has a ticket to hometown. Tanner feels overlooked, he has been very patient, he wants his chance but feels it may be too late.

The date stats on a tour, then they stop for some Louisiana cuisine. A stop at a fortune teller tells them they are a good match, they continue walking through the city, exploring, listening to music, dancing and kissing. During their walk, they sit down with a guy who writes poetry on the spot and they tell him what they know about each other. Late in the day, they sit down for dinner and both agree how blown away they are that their connection is so natural and easy.

They talk about hometowns and he says it would be great, but his family doesn’t want him to get his heart broken because he wears his heart on his sleeve. She asks about how he feels to be in an interracial relationship. He says he wants to listen and learn. And, he wants his kids.

Even though he has never dated a black woman, he knows his family would be happy if he is happy because love is love. His answer brings her to tears, happy ones, she gives him the rose. Joey is taking Charity to meet his parents next week. Then, Joey tells her that he is falling in love with her, this is something he wants, and he wants it with her.

Another date card arrives for the men, this one is for Sean and Tanner, “it’s time to get clarity.” Both men are stressed, one of them is going to hometowns and one of them is going home. Tanner was hoping to get the validation of a one on one and now he feels overlooked again. The feelings he has for Charity is real, so he is showing up for her. Sean has no idea how he got here, he hasn’t felt for anyone in a long time like Charity, so he is going to forge forward and embrace the day that is going to be huge – he is going into competitive mode and know he is going to win.

Charity greets them both, thanks them for joining them. She says she wants to embrace the day and have a good time, not focus on negativity. They get in a boat and head out in Cajun Swamp boat tours. There are a lot of gators in the water, and more suntanning on the grass. The captain of the boat lightens the mood. Sean is more vocal than Tanner and he knows he needs to step up his game. They stop to eat crawfish and the captain says if Charity doesn’t want the two men, she can have him. Tanner sees Charity gain momentum with Sean, he doesn’t feel great. Sean feels like he is in a great spot, his end goal is to get a rose and take Charity to meet his family.

Later in the day they meet up, Charity says it wasn’t the best circumstances, but she enjoyed the day. They go inside to have dinner together; Charity says she hopes she can gain the clarity she needs. She asks Tanner to walk away so she can talk alone with Sean. She tells him its been a day, their time has not been maximized. Sean tells her that he wants the opportunity to meet his meet his family, feel the love and support from them. And even though he knows his heart might get broken, he is willing to take the risk.

Elsewhere, Tanner sees that Sean has a connection with Charity, but he is going to do his best to focus on himself and Charity, he is super hopeful he can dive deep, he knows it is 100% make it or break it. Tanner tells Charity he has had his guard up, mostly because of past relationships.

Since then he puts his walls up, but it is not what he wants forever. Charity says she relates because she didn’t receive love in the right way and she is not the same person anymore. Tanner is doing his best, but Sean is not worried about him, he believes she will choose him. Charity has to make a decision, she hopes she makes the right one. So, she doesn’t make a decision, she decides to keep them both and wait until the Rose Ceremony to make her decision.

Elsewhere, the guys are nervous, then there is a knock at the door. It’s a date card, it is for Dotun, “my heart’s racing for you, meet me at sunrise.” Aaron B. is just getting more confused, he doesn’t understand why she didn’t choose him and he is starting to get pissed.

It is time for Charity and Dotun’s date, they participate in a race and both are wearing tutus. Back at the hotel, Tanner reveals that he thinks he did better than Sean did. While Sean also thinks the same thing, he thinks he is in the perfect spot with his relationship with Charity. Back to the race, Charity and Dotun meet a man who has been married for 58 years and he says the secret is “yes dear.”

After two hours and 41 minutes, they finish the race. They take some time to chat, Dotun says this was the most real date he has ever had. Later, at dinner, it is time to dig deeper in their conversation. Both admit it was a long day, but they are feeling good. She asks him how he feels about bringing her home to his family. He says he is really excited, but is scary as hell, every week is scary as hell.

He admits that anytime he has wanted something, he never got it and fell flat on his face. She says she is also terrified. Charity is so happy that he opened up about his fears, he makes her so happy. She gives him the rose. Dotun is so happy, he is guaranteed a hometown and he has been looking forward to that. This is getting more real for him and he says he is very excited to be on this journey with her. Charity says she truly believes Dotun could be the man she navigates the rest of her life with. Dotun tells her that he is feeling in love with her and he is so happy that they have such a strong connection.

At the hotel, there is a knock at the door, everyone wants a one on one date. The card reads, Aaron B., Xavier, Tanner, Sean, “next stop, hometowns.” There are two roses left, that means two men are going home after the group date.

Sean cannot wait, he feels he needs to speak to Charity to find out where he stands. He goes to her room and tells her that he wants to check in on her. She says she is trying to process everything and make sense of it. He tells her that he left with emotions and he wants to share it with her. He hasn’t had a one on one nor the validation that he is going to get a rose at the Rose Ceremony.

He was disappointed to see her put down that rose on the date with Tanner, he wanted it on his chest. She explains that she is so conflicted that she would have done a disservice to herself had she made a decision. He needs an answer, he is totally in the process of falling in love with her and that is why that rose meant so much to him. She tells him that he has shown him so much, who he is as a person but looking at it all this week, there are connections that are stronger. He feels that if he had a one on one, they could get there.

She puts her head in her hands and then says she can go on and on, but where she is at right now, what he wants from her she can’t give, and she is very fearful of not getting there. She doesn’t think that she can, and she knows that is not what he wants to hear, but that is just what it is, and she is so sorry. She asks him if she can walk him out. Sean is heartbroken, he feels crushed, confused, he just doesn’t get it. He tried everything he could to express how he felt, and it just wasn’t good enough. He saw a future with her.

This week has brought a lot of highs and lows for Charity, she sent Sean home. Today is her last date in New Orleans with Tanner, Xavier and Aaron B., they are all strong, she cannot even predict what is going to happen. She has an open heart and good attitude, but it is weighing on her. She has two roses which means she has to say goodbye to one of the men today. She takes Aaron B., to the side to have a chat with him first.

He tells her that he is ok, but this is a hard week, he feels in a low spot listening to all the men have their chance with her. The only thing that helped him get through it is their time together. Next, she sits with Tanner and he says it is funny that his first one on one with her could be a hometown date. Xavier is last, he wants to fall in love with Charity, but that hasn’t happened yet. He tells her that it scares him that he will truly commit all himself to one person because it is something that he has never done before. He wants to do it once and do it right.

He wants to be engaged and get married, but the question is, is it her. But he believes that he could get there, she could be the one and he doesn’t want to pass that up. Time for Charity to give out the roses, she tells the men the week has been heavy, she is valuing the rose with everything it means, meeting their families and being confident in their future and their relationships. She gives the first rose to Aaron B., he is so excited and says this is the biggest moment so far. Time for Charity to give out the last rose, Charity says it is the hardest thing she has ever had to do and because of that, she won’t give it out right now, she will see them later in the evening.

Later, Charity meets Tanner first and she tells him it wouldn’t be fair to keep him because they didn’t have time together to make a strong connection. She doesn’t want to let him down or hurt him, it pains her to let him go because he is an incredible person. Tanner thinks they gave it everything they got. He is strong during their breakup; he doesn’t want to make it any harder on her. Tanner says she deserves the world, she is special.

It’s Xavier’s turn, he knows how he feels about them and he wants her to meet his parents. She tells him that the week was difficult, she has been on the fence for a lot of things, but she decided to trust her gut and do what makes her feel the best. She picks up the rose and she tells him that she sent Tanner home, she has one rose to give out and quite frankly she doesn’t have to give it out, but she wants to, she wants to meet his family.

THE END!
