The Young and the Restless Recap: Friday, July 28 – Jack Marries Diane – Kyle Stops Billy’s Outburst – Adam Goes Too Far

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, July 28, reveals that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will wrap up her fun with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in bed and remind him that they actually have to get some work done at some point.

After Audra brings up Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) threat, Kyle won’t be concerned.

Since Kyle successfully forced Adam out of Jabot, he’ll feel confident he can handle him again.

At the ranch, Adam will complain about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) spilling his agenda to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who then blabbed to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and let the info trickle down to Audra.

Although Adam will act like Victor’s giving the enemy information, Victor will insist pitting one division against another isn’t part of his masterplan.

Adam will wonder if he’s even part of that masterplan, so Victor will admit his son needs to be taught some humility.

After Victor declares that he’s going to pump the brakes on this entire endeavor, Adam will wonder if he’s really going to pull the plug on Adustus and kick him out of the family again.

Adam will be sick of always having to come crawling back, but Victor will be equally sick of his son’s attitude.

In the end, Victor will decide he won’t pull the plug, but he’ll feel the need to change Adam’s involvement.

Adam will ask if Victor is cutting him loose and will question if his father’s handing him a farewell drink.

After another round of Victor’s fury, he’ll insist he’s giving Adam a warning with a caveat.

The Adustus and Kirsten Incorporated merger will move forward, but Victor will insist that Adam, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will all work under his tutelage.

Victor will warn that Adam can take or leave his terms, so Adam will sarcastically look forward to his father’s lessons.

On the way out, Adam will mention that he offered Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) the head of IT position, so Victor will assume that wasn’t a joint decision. Adam will admit it wasn’t and guess he just proved Victor’s point.

Once Adam is gone on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victor will take out his frustration by hitting the punching bag in his workout room.

At the Abbott house, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will walk in on Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) latest tirade, so she’ll scold Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) for not even letting Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) have this one special day with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Next, Traci will serve as a witness at Jack and Diane’s civil ceremony, where they’ll share some sweet vows and remember their journey to this moment through flashbacks.

After the justice of the peace wraps things up, Jack will kiss his bride and make love to Mrs. Diane Jenkins-Abbott once they’re home.

Although Jack will think maybe they should bail on the rest of their plans and just stay in bed together, Diane will remind him of the importance of staging a fight with Billy.

There was already an incident at the house earlier, but Diane and Jack will move forward with plans for a bigger one.

At the athletic club, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will want to discuss Ashley’s wedding with her, but Ashley will be in a foul mood over Jack tying the knot with Diane today.

Abby won’t think it’s all that different from Ashley rushing into marriage with Tucker and will suspect Ashley is actually mad at herself.

Ashley won’t want to hear Abby’s analysis, but Abby will worry that her mom’s anger is about her own instincts screaming at her to press pause with Tucker.

Once Billy runs into Tucker at the GCAC, Tucker will guess Billy’s disapproval was genuine since he didn’t show up for Jack and Diane’s big day.

Afterward, Tucker will tell Ashley and Abby that he was just commiserating with Billy, who’ll disagree and point out that they aren’t friends or family.

As far as Billy’s concerned, Tucker will be in the same category as Diane.

When Audra and Kyle come downstairs, they’ll get some stares from Ashley and Tucker.

Ashley will notice that things look more than platonic, so Tucker will suggest Kyle and Audra make an excellent couple.

Billy will also speak to Kyle at the bar, where he’ll point out that Kyle couldn’t make it to support the wedding and must be a busy man.

Once Jack and Diane arrive, they won’t be thrilled about Kyle’s presence for the next phase of their mission, but they’ll stick to the plan anyway.

Billy will wind up telling Jack that this marriage to Diane is a mistake, a joke and a disaster waiting to happen.

After Billy argues that Diane and Jack’s own son didn’t even show up, Kyle will warn Billy not to drag him into this since he supports his parents.

Billy will act like Diane is just going to hurt Kyle again, so Jack will push his brother to take a walk.

Once Billy shouts that Jack is going to blow up the family, Jack will suggest they could take this outside if he wants.

Kyle will get between Jack and Billy before ordering his uncle to go somewhere else to cool off.

Before Billy goes, he’ll warn that Diane is going to tear down the family and Jabot.

Kyle will apologize to Diane after Billy exits, but Diane and Jack won’t let Kyle in the loop on the trick.

Ashley will also give Diane a warning about being the final wrecking ball now that the walls are crumbling down around her enemy.

In a moment alone, Jack will admit this isn’t how he wanted to spend his wedding night, but he’ll be hopeful along with Diane that Tucker and Ashley bought that staged fight.

At Crimson Lights, Ashley will corner Billy and ask him what they’re going to do about Jack.
