Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 4, reveals that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) brought Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) breakfast in bed before running into Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) on his way out.
Once Eric was gone, Melinda confronted Sloan over the puzzle pieces she was putting together following her conversation with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).
After Melinda pushed Sloan to admit Eric was the father of Nicole’s baby, Sloan finally did.
Sloan explained why she swabbed her own cheek for the DNA sample and later changed the genetic testing results, so she felt better after unburdening herself.
However, Sloan also wondered if Melinda was going to use this info against her now that she knew the truth.
Melinda apologized for coming on a little strong, but she just loved solving mysteries.
Since Sloan was becoming a friend, Melinda assured her that she wouldn’t jeopardize that and promised the secret was safe with her.
At home, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) could tell Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was distracted by his tablet, so he eventually showed her a picture of the double wedding and said Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) went through with marrying Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte).
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Nicole met up with Chloe for breakfast and offered updates on Eric having a baby with Sloan.
Chloe pointed out that Nicole was starting her own family with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), but Nicole still hated seeing Eric tie himself to someone so wrong for him.
After Nicole stepped away for a phone call, Eric walked over to Chloe’s table with a bag from the jewelry store.
Chloe congratulated Eric on the new baby before he showed off the ring he planned to propose to Sloan with.
When Nicole returned, she got the Sloan proposal news and clearly wasn’t happy about it.
Nicole returned to the DiMera mansion and flashed back to when Eric proposed marriage to her the last time around.
Eric also returned to Sloan’s apartment, so he walked in right after Melinda vowed to keep Sloan’s secret under wraps.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) pushed Xander to make amends with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) since he wasn’t getting any younger and his health wasn’t what it used to be.
Maggie thought it’d mean a lot to Victor and urged Xander to do it before it was too late.
Xander found out Victor was out of town visiting Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) facility, so Xander promised to visit him as soon as he got back.
In the meantime, Maggie revealed that she was taking a trip to Chicago.
The plan was to clear the air with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), who was dating Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder).
Xander insisted he was glad that Sarah was moving on and told Maggie that things were getting pretty serious in his own relationship with Chloe.
At the DiMera mansion, Gwen brought Dimitri a birthday muffin and told him to make a wish.
Dimitri imagined that the inheritance terms had changed and that he was allowed to marry a man instead of a woman, so he had a fantasy of celebrating with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Once Dimitri blew out his candle, he insisted he couldn’t tell Gwen what he wished for or else it wouldn’t come true.
Gwen wound up getting down under the covers to give Dimitri a sizzling birthday present, which led to another fantasy about Leo.
At Wendy Shin’s (Victoria Grace) apartment, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) grumbled over the news online about Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) wedding.
Li also wondered why Wendy was home since she was supposed to have a romantic night with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) at the Salem Inn.
Wendy admitted that was the plan, but the night took a shocking turn.
In a flashback, Wendy and Tripp’s romantic dinner was interrupted by drunk Leo, who slurred his words and wondered what they were doing in his room.
There had been a mistake since Gwen moved out, which led to some confusion about Leo moving out, too.
Tripp sent Wendy home, but he stayed with Leo since he felt bad to leave him alone in such a sad, plastered state.
Back in the present, Tripp woke up to find Leo in his bed instead of the bed next to him. Leo confessed that he got lonely in the night and wanted to be close to another human being.
Tripp mentioned that Leo said his boyfriend married his best friend, so he wondered if Leo had been messing around with Dimitri behind Gwen’s back.
Leo denied it and acted like he was just talking crazy while drunk. After Leo argued that Dimitri was just a fantasy boyfriend, Tripp seemed to accept that explanation.
Back with Li, he told Wendy that she got inside his head with all that talk about Melinda setting him up again.
Wendy suggested it was for the best that the date didn’t pan out since Li could never trust Melinda.
That said, Wendy hoped that Li wouldn’t give up on love since there was surely someone out there for him.
Afterward, Tripp brought Wendy some flowers and filled her in on the latest Leo drama.
Although they’d been hitting some snags, Tripp assured Wendy that he still planned to make their first time special and gave her a kiss.
Outside the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Xander ran into Gwen and congratulated her on the wedding.
Gwen was surprised over Xander being so supportive, but he insisted he truly wanted her to be happy and felt it was good that they were all moving on.
When Xander returned home later, he found out about Eric proposing to Sloan and suggested there must be something in the air.
Chloe wondered what Xander meant, so he dropped to one knee with a ring for his own marriage proposal.
In Leo’s hotel room on Friday’s Days episode, Dimitri showed up and hit the sheets with him while Gwen was running an errand.
Leo was concerned about keeping their romance a secret for a whole year, but Dimitri assured him that they could make this work.
Suddenly, Gwen knocked on the door looking for “Matty,” so Leo and Dimitri looked on edge over her arrival.
