Tonight’s The Bachelorette episode begins with Charity in Fiji and it is time for the over night dates. It has been a long journey to get there, but Charity will be getting engaged in Fiji. Dotun is ready to get down on one knee and propose to Charity, but he doesn’t know where she is at with the other two guys. Joey admits that he is falling in love with Charity but it is a little worried that his hometown didn’t go to well. Before this show, Xavier was afraid of opening up and Charity changed that, he thinks he may be ready for an engagement.
Jesse Palmer sits down with Charity, he talks about her emotion goodbye with Aaron and she admits it was hard and it is still weighing on her. She says she is still waiting to see if Xavier is ready for an engagement, she is hopeful. She and Dotun have an unreal connection, it is almost too good to be true. She feels so good about Joey, she feels like she is falling in love with him but wants to make sure she is getting the real Joey. She admits to Jesse that she is falling in love with all three men.
The first overnight date is with Xavier, they head to a private island where some locals come out for a little performance, to show them their culture. Charity heads with a woman to get changed in traditional clothing, Xavier walks away with one of the men to do the same. Once changed, they are taught the rituals before getting married.
They have a great day, but Charity’s fears of Xavier may be not being ready have not gone away. Later, at dinner, Xavier admits that his heart is ready, but his head is putting his heart against the wall and telling it to stop. He has to get rid of his fears in order to get down on one knee.
He tells her that his heart is 100% with her, but he has doubts. Charity has a fear that Xavier could hurt her. He tells her that in the past with his ex, he was unfaithful, and he wanted to tell her because he knows it is triggering for her. Charity is complete derailed, she asks for a minute and leaves the table.
Elsewhere, Aaron talks about his being sent home and his last conversation, that she said she didn’t know if she made the right decision, so he is heading back to Fiji.
Charity returns to Xavier after she collects herself. She tells him that cheating is a sensitive spot for her because she endured it for six years. She asks him if it was multiple times, he says yes, in the span of five days, two years into his relationship. What Xavier did to his ex, is exactly what happened to Charity with her ex. She wants to know what he has done to fix himself since then. He says he learned to be more introspective, more in tuned to why he did it.
He questions himself, if he is put in that position again, being on vacation with his boys. He says he is good, but he is scared. She pulls out the card for the overnight date with each other. She asks him if he will put the work in for them, he says there has to be no doubt and 100% sure to do that. In his heart he has no doubt, but in his mind there is that doubt. And for him to get to that point, that has to happen tonight, he needs to see more.
This makes no sense to Charity, them in a bedroom is not going to determine if they can spend the rest of their lives together. She tells him that the amount of doubt that he has for himself, she doesn’t have in him. She doesn’t want to force him to get there, she wants him to get there on his own, for him to be ready. She takes the card away and tells him it is not happening. She gets up and tells him to follow her, she sends him home.
She is angry, upset but ultimately disappointed. She held on to so much hope for Xavier, but he doesn’t see it. Charity says it was the most disappointing goodbye every. Xavier is in the car, he says he doubted himself and them, and he shouldn’t have done that. It was heartbroken, but Charity says she would be a fool to keep someone who wasn’t fully committed. In fact, Xavier makes her doubt this whole process. But, she has no choice but to move forward, there are two other men waiting for her.
Today is Charity’s date with Joey, she has concerns after a conversation with his uncle and wondering if she is in fact getting the real Joey.
Joe is waiting in the middle of nowhere when Charity shows up driving in an ATV dune buggy. He climbs in and they drive off, but not for long, the vehicle breaks down and they end up on foot. They end up at a waterfall, put a blanket down and sit down to chat. He shares with her that he had a tough week, when she left him and got in the car, he saw that she was crying and felt like they were not on the same page.
She tells him about the conversation with uncle Joe, saying that he didn’t see the real Joey on the tennis court. Joey says he was nervous and more so when his uncle showed up, it had nothing to do with her. Later, at dinner, the two sit down to chat some more. She asks him if he is nervous about anything moving forward. He says some people fall in love with who they think he is and when they get to know him better they maybe don’t think it is who he truthfully is.
If they had more time, she would see more times like last week, when he gets in a funk or has moments of doubt. He says that being in a relationship with him can be taxing because sometimes it feels like a rollercoaster, but it is just him. Charity feels bad, but she relates to how he feels. She says she is a lot like that, people pleasing.
He tells her that he is in love with her and he has been wanting to tell her for a while. She tells him that she is happy, and after the day that they spent, she is in love with him and it is the best feeling. She gives him the date card that invites him to the fantasy suite, he says yes and they proceed to the suite. The next morning, they wake up wrapped in each other’s arms and Charity is blissful. They say their goodbyes, and he leaves.
Dotun is excited to spend the day with Charity, he misses her very much. They meet up and go on jet skis, Charity looks like she is having a blast, so does Dotun. They head to a private island, on a sand bar. They pop open a bottle of champagne and discuss how they have never had a bad moment. She tells him that his family is so incredible. She is on cloud 9 with Dotun, they are creating the most beautiful love story. She is still a little nervous because he gut has been wrong in the past.
Time for dinner and Dotun says that as things continue to be fairytale like, it puts him at risk because he is in love with her, but he hasn’t heard the magical words from her and it makes him a little nervous. He tells her that after their day together he feels at peace. He toasts to her for being his fairy tale story.
She asks him if he has any fears about relationships, he says no, and nothing has come up. He has thought about life after this and knows there will be sacrifices. She says everything feels good, nothing feels wrong. He admits that since New Orleans, his feelings have grown more and more. The scary part is, that he is not scared. And, it is scary that he is genuinely in love with her. She tells him that she is 100% in love with him and she doesn’t want to hold it in anymore.
She gives him the card for the fantasy suite and he says 100% yes, tonight and every night for the rest of their lives. The next morning the two wake up and are very happy. Charity says every time they are together it exceeds her expectations. At this point, Dotun is ready to move on and have a life with her. He respects her decision to have all her options exhausted. If he doesn’t have a future with her, he will be heartbroken.
Aaron is back in Fiji, he is going to do everything he can to make sure that nothing is left unsaid. He walks up to the pool area and Charity is shocked to see him, he is not supposed to be there. Is she mad about it? No, she is excited to see him.
Later, Charity meets Aaron down by the beach. He says he was shocked when she sent him home, it wasn’t until he was in the van that it hit home. When he went back to San Diego he knew there was more he could have given, and when she said that she wasn’t sure that she made the right decision, he couldn’t get over that.
She tells him that she has been thinking about it every single day, what their relationship made and saying goodbye, she still doesn’t know if she made the right choice. Their relationship was good a powerful, and she was falling in love even though she didn’t verbalize it to him.
Leaving that night, every morning it was in the pit of her stomach if she made the right choice and she still doesn’t know. He tells her that he feels the same way about her, time has provided him clarity and he knows that he wants to be with her. She asks to step away for a moment, he goes down to the beach.
Fast forward to Decision Day, Charity has a tough decision to make and she has three men waiting for an answer, Dotun, Joey and Aaron.
