The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: September 19 - Douglas’ Heartfelt Plea - Brooke Takes Ridge’s Side

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Tuesday, September 19, teases that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) are brainstorming to come up with new design ideas. They discuss Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) showdown.

Eric’s push to design a line makes little sense to Thomas. He thinks Forrester Creations should focus on Couture and Hope For The Future.

As they work on a stretch, their hands touch. They nearly kiss when Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) rushes in to see his parents.

Douglas wants to talk to his mom alone. Douglas tells his mom he knows she’s sad about Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) moving out. She doesn’t deny it but says she’s the parent, and it’s not his job to worry about her.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Douglas wonders if they can be with a family with Thomas. The little boy promises his dad did not put him up to this.

Hope reminds Douglas about how much work Thomas has done, and he’s a changed man. Douglas agrees and hates seeing her sad. Douglas points out that his dad loves her and would treat her well.

Douglas says that Thomas could make her happy if she just gave him a chance. Hope appreciates how much her son loves and cares about her happiness, but he doesn’t need to worry about her. She’s going to be just fine.

Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Ridge discuss the competition brewing with Eric in the main office.

Carter asks Ridge how he feels about RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) helping Eric with his designs. He assumes that it could sting that his son chose to work with his grandfather.

Ridge admits it hurts a little, but he’s confident RJ will work alongside him or Thomas after the line is completed.

Carter urges Ridge not to underestimate the “Great Eric Forrester.”

At Eric’s estate, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) asks RJ if he’s ready for the showdown coming. RJ is ready; actually, he’s looking forward to it. Brooke admits she’s feeling nervous about it.

While Brooke believes in Eric and RJ’s designs, she worries that it will destroy Ridge and Eric’s relationship.

RJ admits it’s strange to compete against Ridge, but he’s happy to be helping Eric with his final line.

Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) barge in, demanding details about the fashion showdown. She’s the head of PR and should be in the loop.

The sisters discuss Eric and Ridge’s conflict and how insanely talented RJ is.

RJ says his grandfather’s passion for designing taught him that he has the same passion. He will do whatever is necessary to make this line happen.

After RJ leaves, Brooke admits she worries about the friction this showdown will cause between Eric and Ridge.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Donna explains that Ridge made Eric feel like he’s being put to pasture. Katie agrees that Donna Ridge should just let Eric have his line.

Brooke reminds her sisters that Ridge is the CEO and makes all Forrester Creations’ decisions. Donna reminds Brooke that Eric built this company, and his work is iconic.

Brooke agrees that Eric built the company but believes it’s time for him to put his pencil down. She doesn’t understand why he would risk his entire legacy on one final act.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Brooke says that Eric may have built Forrester Creations, but now Ridge is in control. Donna glares at Brooke, clearly not approving of her comments.

At Forrester Creations, RJ arrives to pick up supplies. Thomas and Ridge ask him if he agrees with the fashion showdown. They suggest the company focuses on Couture and Hope for the Future instead.

RJ thinks Eric is doing exciting work. Thomas worries that their grandfather’s work may not align with the company’s direction.

RJ reminds them that whatever direction they are going with their lines is based on Eric’s legacy.

Ridge asks Thomas to leave the office to speak to RJ alone. RJ tells Ridge that Eric’s work is brilliant, and it’s insulting that he’s being forced to pick a side.

If Ridge supported Eric’s vision, the right thing for him to do is to support the showdown. They agree to settle it on the runway.

When Thomas returns to Hope and Douglas, he listens at the doorway. He hears Douglas telling his mom that they could be a family. It would make her sadness go away. As Hope hugs Douglas, she locks eyes with Thomas.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that the Forresters and Logans will continue disagreeing with Eric’s decision to create his final line.
