Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 28, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) caught up with Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) at the pub and learned Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) had moved out, so she was taken aback over the news.
At Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) place, she was also surprised when Eric brought over his stuff and moved in sooner than expected. Sloan teased the former priest about living in sin, but Eric pointed out they’d be married before long.
After Sloan mentioned not wanting to wed at the pub, Eric admitted he didn’t want that either since he already married Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) there.
Talk turned to Eric and Sloan’s excitement over the adoption, but Eric thought it was best to use an attorney other than Belle Brady (Martha Madison) since she was dealing with a lot of personal issues.
In DA Melinda Trask’s (Tina Huang) office, she was stunned when Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) showed up and fired her.
Paulina made it clear this wasn’t about DA Trask’s performance; she just didn’t like the way Melinda had treated her as well as Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
Trask begged to keep her job and offered a high-profile conviction since she was close to nailing Li Shin (Reminton Hoffman) to the wall.
Melinda acted like she could pull it off fast and mentioned her dinner with Li tonight.
Paulina warned that Melinda had better come through or else she’d be out.
Once Paulina exited on Thursday’s Days episode, Melinda called Li and asked if they could have dinner together.
In the town square, Li met up with Melinda and accepted the drink she’d ordered for him.
After Melinda gushed over how great things were going between them, Li said he was thinking they should end things instead.
When Melinda wondered why, Li played a recording over her vowing to nail him to the wall and admitted the teddy bear he gave her at the office was bugged.
After Li sauntered off in Thursday’s Days episode, Melinda texted Sloan to say she got dumped. Sloan wanted to go check on Melinda, so she filled Eric in and headed out.
Paulina also met back up with Melinda and learned she couldn’t convict Li as promised, so she warned Trask to clean out her office.
Melinda did as she was told, so she put her stuff in a box and ranted at Li though the teddy bear.
When Melinda pulled out a gavel to beat the stuffie, Sloan arrived and learned Trask’s evening got worse since she was fired.
Sloan suggested this worked out well for her since she needed an adoption attorney, so she offered to hire Melinda for the job.
Meanwhile, Eric was unpacking his belongings and pulled out a picture from his wedding to Nicole.
Marlena showed up and expressed her surprise over Eric moving in with Sloan, but he said it felt like the right decision.
Eric hoped he was turning a positive corner in his life, so Marlena was hopeful that things would work out for him – though she seemed skeptical.
There was also a moment where Marlena seemingly noticed the nearby pic of Nicole and Eric.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gave Nicole updates on firing Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) for snooping on his phone.
Nicole was taken aback over Wendy’s claim that Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) was alive and thought maybe it could be true.
EJ felt it was just Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) attempt to get him off her back. If Susan were really alive, EJ felt like his mother would send him a sign.
When the power suddenly went out, Nicole felt like that was indeed EJ’s sign. EJ acted like it was just a coincidence and not the type of sign Susan would send him.
In London on Thursday’s DOOL show, Ava and Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) showed up at Edmund Crumb’s (Adam Caine) address after getting it online.
After apologizing for the late hour, Harris and Ava explained that they needed to talk to Edmund about something important since it involved Susan Banks.
Once Edmund served Ava and Harris tea inside, they explained why they believed Susan was alive and asked if she’d sent him any signs.
Edmund confirmed that Susan hadn’t and then admitted she wouldn’t need to since she was chained to the floor of the back bedroom.
A confused Harris and Ava assumed Edmund must be joking, but he insisted it was true on Thursday’s Days episode.
Ava and Harris began to feel strange, so Edmund also confessed that he’d poisoned their tea.
After Harris and Ava passed out, Edmund made them his hostages in the room that Susan was chained up in. Susan reeled over Edmund’s actions and seemed horrified over what he’d done.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ava, Harris and Susan will all have quite a predicament to wiggle out of, so stay tuned.
