General Hospital Recap: Monday, October 23 – Sonny’s Loyalty Test – Portia’s Restraining Order – Sasha’s Second Chance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 23, reveals that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) shocked Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) with the news that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) claimed she acquired Deception to give her granddaughter controlling interest.

Brook Lynn was skeptical of Tracy having anything but selfish motives. Besides, Brook Lynn had no intention of accepting 51 percent of the company Tracy stole, so she planned to tell her granny that.

Lois pushed Brook Lynn to hold her horses since she might have a better idea, so the first signs of a mother-daughter scheme started to form.

At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) fumed as Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) approached her and tried to make amends.

Although Cyrus claimed to be a changed man, Portia didn’t buy it and threatened to get a restraining order since she didn’t want him anywhere near her loved ones.

Later, Portia flashed back to when Cyrus held her hostage and seemed unsettled over him being on the loose again.

At the Metro Court, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) talked to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) about Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) helping Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) before Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) joined their discussion.

Cyrus walked over soon after and pulled his attorney off to the side for a private conversation. Scott felt their business was concluded, but Cyrus had another job for him.

At Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) penthouse, Cody stopped by with a gift and thanked her for all the help she provided during Sasha’s rescue mission.

Talk turned to the topic of family, so Cody admitted he threw away his chance at one by deceiving Mac about the DNA test results.

Cody also confessed that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sasha knew the truth, but Sasha was moving out of town anyway.

Sam wondered if Cody tried to convince Sasha to stay, but he felt like she was probably already gone.

At Deception, Tracy put her foot down with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) when it came to their attempt to replace Sasha as the Face of Deception.

Although Lucy complained about the bad publicity and Sasha cracking under pressure, Tracy basically acted like it was unfair to kick Sasha while she was down. That’s the kind of thing that could bring bad publicity, too.

Maxie suggested Tracy was saying that they should have a heart, so Tracy thanked her for seeing her point.

Tracy made it clear that she wasn’t going to budge on this and demanded that Sasha’s contract be reinstated today.

Once Maxie and Lucy were alone, they pondered what Tracy was up to this time.

Lucy and Maxie liked the idea of working with Sasha again, but they had to figure out what they’d tell Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) if Sasha stayed.

At Sasha’s place, Dante showed up to express concern over her moving out of Port Charles. After Dante reflected on his struggles with PTSD, he admitted he wanted to run away, too.

Sasha acted like their situations were different since she no longer had a family without Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and their baby boy.

Dante pointed out that Sasha still had plenty of people who cared about her and rattled off a list that included Cody. Besides, Brando was family to Dante, which meant Sasha was Dante’s family, too.

After Dante urged Sasha to get in touch if she needed anything and took off, she seemed deep in thought.

In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) offered updates on all the details of what happened by the cliff.

Sonny felt that something had to be done about Cyrus, who made a serious error when he had Ava Jerome (Maura West) kidnapped.

After Selina Wu (Lydia Look) arrived for a meeting, Sonny brought up Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) debts and advised her to be honest if she was a genuine ally.

Selina came clean about everything and apologized for not keeping Sonny in the loop. Since Selina had been so secretive, Sonny suggested maybe she had been trying to get leverage over him.

Once Selina denied that and asked how she could make amends, Sonny brought up Cyrus and had an off-screen discussion with her.

Later, Sonny spoke to Dex about his new arrangement with Selina, who would have her people keep eyes on Cyrus and report any moves he made.

Since Sonny planned to have his people watch Cyrus too, there would be eyes on him at all times.

Dex questioned whether they could trust Selina, so Sonny confessed that he only trusted that she looked out for her own interests.

That’s why Sonny wanted to keep Selina close!

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Selina’s fragile alliance could become a bigger problem down the road, so stay tuned.
