Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 27, reveals that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) had second thoughts about framing Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) for child abuse since she’d flip out if she were in Kristen’s shoes.
Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) reminded Gabi that these videos would never be seen by a judge or anyone other than Kristen herself.
Stefan pushed Gabi to finish editing the clips together since they had to stick to their goal of getting Kristen’s DiMera shares.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) urged Kristen to sign over her shares to him temporarily for her own protection since Gabi and Stefan were capable of anything.
Kristen burst out laughing at EJ how was trying to sell her on this, but he urged her to at least vote with him and help him oust Stefan.
Although Kristen wouldn’t agree to that just yet, she admitted EJ had her ear and agreed to mull it over.
At the townhouse on Friday’s DOOL show, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) got Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to admit that Gabi and Stefan were going to make it look like Kristen abused Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).
Marlena was appalled since Kristen would never physically hurt Rachel and felt this was totally unethical.
Brady was desperate and didn’t care as long as he got Rachel back, but Marlena warned about all the risks.
As for Stefan and Gabi, they ambushed Kristen with the video of Rachel claiming her mommy gave her the black eye – which was followed by the video of Rachel insisting she’d discipline her daughter how she saw fit.
Kristen fumed over the setup and learned Brady was now getting double-crossed. Gabi and Stefan insisted they didn’t want to actually take this fake evidence to the judge.
This was just about the shares – and Kristen could even keep the money from the dividends since they only cared about voting power.
Stefan added that Kristen needed to remind Peter Blake (Jason Brook) to vote with them, but Kristen argued that they still wouldn’t have enough power to control DiMera Enterprises.
Gabi and Stean acknowledged that was true, but they still felt they were making progress and could at least stop EJ from ousting Stefan.
Later, Kristen told EJ that he was too late since she’d already signed over her shares to the “demonic duo.” When EJ asked why she’d do that, Kristen snapped that she didn’t have a choice.
At the townhouse again on Friday’s Days episode, Stefan and Gabi visited Brady to let him know that all the footage had been permanently deleted.
Brady realized Stefan and Gabi never really had any intention of helping him; this was always about blackmailing Kristen to get what they wanted. A furious Brady threw Stefan and Gabi out as a result.
In Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) office, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) offered updates on how he tried to get Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to step up for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and perhaps made things worse.
Kayla empathized with Chad since she knew what it was like to lose her true love. Back when Kayla thought she lost Steve forever, she wasn’t sure she’d ever find a love like that again.
Of course, this left Steve and Kayla worried about Stephanie having to compete with Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) ghost.
At the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Stephanie was embarrassed as she came clean about wanting marriage sooner rather than later. Since Stephanie had realized Chad wanted to wait, she had tried to downplay things.
Stephanie acknowledged that it’d been hard for Chad since he lost Abigail, but she felt she had to walk on eggshells and all their tension kept coming back to Abby.
Stephanie worried she’d never be able to step out of her cousin’s shadow. Chad assured Stephanie that he wanted to marry her eventually, but she struggled to believe that.
After Stephanie reflected on how her ex ghosted her in Seattle when things started to get serious, she worried she’d misread the situation with Chad, too.
Stephanie assumed that when she moved in with Chad and the kids, marriage was in their future.
Chad reiterated that he wanted to marry Stephanie at some point and assured her that he loved her. However, Stephanie replied that Chad didn’t love her as much as his deceased wife and bolted from the restaurant.
Next, someone lurked outside the pub and saw Stephanie leave. Chad stuck around the pub to sulk, drink and give Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) the news about his fight with Stephanie.
Once Stephanie made it home, she spoke to Steve over the phone and understood that he didn’t mean to cause trouble.
Although Steve said he could come over along with Kayla, Stephanie suggested she just wanted to be alone for a while.
When someone showed up at the door, Stephanie assumed it was trick-or-treaters. As Stephanie opened up, she dropped the candy bowl and looked floored over who was on her doorstep.
