The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 23, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) interrupted Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) phone call with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), so she cut the call short and accepted the math book he brought by for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Thomas acknowledged that he said he’d give Hope some time and respected that she needed that, but he wanted to make sure she was OK after their intense conversation the other night.
Talk turned to Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) miraculous recovery, so Thomas admitted it was a miracle that Hope opened her heart up to him after all his bad choices as well.
Hope didn’t want to get into anything negative on this positive day for Eric.
Although Hope had a lot of painful memories involving Thomas’ actions and couldn’t pretend that stuff didn’t happen, she also didn’t want to be ruled by her past.
Hope wanted to focus on her amazing children and happiness for herself. After Hope said she wanted to do what was best for all of them, she reminded Thomas that’s why she asked for a little more time.
However, Hope didn’t want Thomas to think she stopped caring for him. In fact, Hope confessed that she told Brooke to stop fighting their relationship, so that news pleased Thomas as he touched her hand tenderly.
Thomas was grateful that Hope still believed in him and reminisced with her about some of the wonderful times they’d shared – like their stroll in Rome and their fashion show triumph.
After Thomas showered Hope with compliments, he pointed out that his ring was still on her neck – and that gave him hope for their future together.
Thomas said he loved Hope so much and talked about all the things he missed – including kissing her.
As Thomas leaned in and stole a smooch, Hope kissed back and smiled at him as hopeful music played.
At the beach house, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) thought she heard a noise in the bedroom, but she apologized to RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) for being so jumpy and went back to making out with him.
In the bedroom, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) handed Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) his shirt and insisted she didn’t want her daughter to see her like this!
Bill jokingly suggested he could say he was doing home maintenance, but he agreed to sneak out with Poppy moments later.
Back on the sofa, Luna was stunned when she spotted Poppy rushing past the window with Bill. Once Luna called out to her mom, Poppy and Bill came in the front door.
Bill did most of the talking as he acted like he just wanted to show Poppy the house and didn’t realize RJ had already rented the place.
As Poppy and Bill tried to excuse themselves, Bill urged RJ to be good to Luna since she was very special.
RJ planned to spend a lot of time with Luna at the beach house, but he said he hadn’t officially signed the lease yet and decided they’d better go.
Bill hinted about picking up where he left off with Poppy once they were alone again, but she opted to cuddle with him on the couch as she tried to get past her embarrassment.
Poppy felt bad for ruining Luna and RJ’s date, but Bill thought it could’ve been a lot worse if they’d walked into the bedroom!
Once Bill talked about what a fine job Poppy did raising Luna, he insisted that was a real tribute to Poppy since she did it all on her own.
Poppy seemed pensive as Bill sang her praises and talked about getting to know Luna better, too.
Next on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Luna headed to the Forrester Creations design office with RJ and was embarrassed over them getting busted kissing.
RJ thought the whole thing was hilarious and mentioned that Poppy and Bill seemed just as surprised as they were.
Luna and RJ knew they could face another interruption, but they decided to risk it and started making out in a private moment.
