The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, February 2, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will confide in Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as she worries about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), who seemed upset on the phone over his slipping grades.
Since Connor isn’t understanding the work in his classes, his confidence has taken a hit – and that’ll definitely concern Chelsea on Friday’s Y&R episode.
Chelsea will also fret over Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) impulsive side since he started playing the blame game and threatened to pull Connor out of the school completely.
Billy will give Chelsea a pep talk about handling everything as a team, so she’ll admit he’s really good for her before Billy says they’re good for each other.
At Society, Adam will voice his frustration to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) since this is supposed to be a special school – one that should’ve anticipated the emotional change in Connor and avoided letting it get to this point.
Adam will also point out that Connor called Chelsea instead of him, so he’ll feel like his son doesn’t trust him.
It’ll leave Adam worried that it’s because of all the years he spent away from Connor, so he’ll fret over Connor potentially cutting his dad out of his life when he’s older.
Sally won’t think that’s going to happen since Adam is a great father. After Sally makes it clear that Connor knows that, she’ll insist Adam listened to what Connor wanted when he pushed for this school.
Sally will refuse to let Adam beat himself up and will take his hand as she comforts him. Back with Chelsea later, she’ll seem pensive as Adam calls her phone.
At Newman Media, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will lie to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about running into Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at an AA meeting and accompanying her back to her office.
Victor will seem skeptical of that story, but Nikki will think they need to be showing Jack their gratitude.
After Victor pushes for privacy, Jack will reconvene with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) at Jabot and offer updates on the cover story he just had to sell Victor.
Diane will worry about the possibility of Jack and Victor’s rivalry reigning if Nikki doesn’t come clean, but she’ll eventually try to be a little less doom and gloom about the situation.
When Jack realizes he has a voicemail from Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), he’ll listen to it and find out about Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) vanishing in Paris.
Jack will get Traci on the phone and express relief when she says Ashley reached out to her a few minutes ago.
Traci will explain that Ashley apologized for taking off and said she needed more time to process and plan.
Although Traci won’t know what that means, she’ll intend to meet back up with Ashley and look out for her.
Traci won’t know what to believe when it comes to the café drama and what the waiter said, but she’ll plan to do some investigating on her own.
Next, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will let Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in his suite and rant about Ashley accusing him of bribing the waiter.
Audra will wonder if Tucker really did pay the waiter off, but he’ll deny it and just want Ashley to admit she was wrong.
After Audra gets fed up with Tucker’s obsession with Ashley, she’ll point out that he just doesn’t like to lose.
Audra will warn that Tucker’s losing her right now and will force him to make a choice. After passion erupts between Audra and Tucker, he’ll insist he chooses her as they canoodle in bed.
At Newman Media again, Nikki will admit she read about the fire online and will consider the idea that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) might’ve started it to make her escape.
Victor will vow to protect Nikki and will push her to lean on him if she needs someone to lean on.
After Nikki turns down Victor’s offer to take her home, she’ll opt to stick around the office and get more work done.
Victor will head back to his own office and tell someone on his security team that he wants eyes on Nikki at all times.
If there’s even a glimpse of “that Jordan woman,” Victor will want to hear about it right away.
Back with Nikki, she’ll freak out over an unknown phone call. Nikki will just let it ring, but it’ll still get under her skin as she finally shoves a bunch of items off her desk.
“I can’t…I can’t…I can’t…I can’t…” Nikki will keep muttering in despair.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki’s terror will get even worse once Jordan makes her next move, so stay tuned for the horrible news that’s brewing.
