General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the mystery of who targeted Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is deepening. Someone who knew Sonny’s whole system was able to target him in Puerto Rico, so he’s on high alert over a traitor within his organization.
However, the person who betrayed Sonny doesn’t have to be someone who’s currently working for Sonny or even someone who’s worked for him in the past.
Could this be a situation where Jason’s memories have been given to someone else?
After all, GH writers have done that storyline before with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who still has Jason’s memories to this day.
Drew can’t be ruled out as the person who’s been going after Sonny if he’s still being controlled through his old programming and doesn’t realize it.
That said, there’s another intriguing option that’s worth mulling over.
What if Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) is being groomed to essentially be the new Jason Morgan and work for the enemy?
It might be significant that Danny was tangled up in Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) friend group when she had those tarot cards.
It opens the door to some mind control that Danny might not even be aware of.
Charlotte worked well as Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) little minion for a while, so maybe Danny is next up for a storyline where he’s wreaking havoc.
Back when all the Charlotte and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) chaos blew up, Danny wished he could’ve done something to help.
It led to Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) potentially telling comment about Danny reminding her of Jason.
If a villain – like a secretly alive Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) for example – wanted to start over with a younger, brand-new version of Jason, it makes sense to program his son.
Could Danny have a tarot card that controls him and basically turns him into Jason
If Danny was memory-mapped and programmed off-screen, he might have times where he goes into “Stone Cold” mode and later snaps out of it.
During the week of February 12-16, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will discover that Danny is facing some sort of crisis.
Danny will land in some trouble just before some alarming news is revealed – and soon after Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will comfort Sam while Dante, Anna and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) form a strategy.
Of course, there’s no confirmation on how all that will go down, but it’s interesting that Danny has a crisis that’ll erupt right before all this PCPD action is happening.
It’d be a great story if Jason is stuck in captivity and has to break free to come intervene with Danny down the road.
Jason might be the only one who can break whatever spell Danny’s potentially under.
Could Danny have been the one who fired at Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and the one who went after Sonny on his island?
Since Danny has been off-screen so much, it’s possible he’s been used as some sort of Jason 2.0 experiment behind Sam and Dante’s back – even if Danny doesn’t realize it when he’s not active.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Danny has some drama coming up, so stay tuned for updates on the mayhem that’s looming.
