The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) could use a real storyline and a firm sense of direction. Sharon broke things off with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to free him up for a pairing with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), but now Sharon deserves another romance of her own.
Of course, it’s possible Y&R will eventually offer up a new hunk for Sharon.
In the past, Sharon has sometimes served as the welcome wagon for hot male cast additions since she’s a fan favorite who can make almost any pairing palatable.
However, we can’t ignore all the clues the show’s been offering about a potential Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunion.
Sharon’s last dream episode certainly contained plenty of hints about her potential next chapter with Nick.
If the show intends to follow up on those hints, then we may finally get a chance to watch Nick and Sharon reunite.
Whether you support the Sharon and Nick pairing or not, there’s no denying that they have a rich history as well as children to connect them forever.
There are good reasons to think Nick and Sharon’s friendship will cross back over into romantic territory sooner or later.
As part of that plan, we can think of one strategy that’d perhaps speed the reunion process along. What if Sharon gets a mysterious date invitation at some point?
After everything that happened with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), Sharon might be a little freaked out at first. Y&R could even lean into that and add to the mystery of it all.
Sharon might voice concerns to Nick since he’s her rock in scary situations, but he could reveal that he got a mystery invite, too. The plot could thicken and make these exes realize they’re being set up.
Nick and Sharon would be great candidates for a matchmaker scheme, especially if the Cupid culprit turns out to be someone surprising.
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) might be an interesting option since she was so quick to shut down Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) speculation about Nick being on a date with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
It always ends in disaster whenever Phyllis and Nick get back together, so Summer might try to push Nick back toward Sharon instead.
Then again, viewers haven’t seen Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) in a while, but he’s old enough to do some matchmaking by now and adores Sharon.
It’d be a fun way to ultimately put Christian back on-screen if he plays Cupid for Sharon and Nick somewhere down the line.
A third option might be Phyllis since she seems so concerned with Nick’s happiness and has admitted it’ll always come back to Sharon for him.
It’d be a nice twist for Phyllis to pull off a matchmaking plot that pushes Nick and Sharon toward each other.
Whatever the case, Sharon and Nick could be headed for a reunion, so we’ll see who might give them the push they need!
