Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans weren’t the only ones worried about Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) during her latest medical crisis. It turns out Jackée Harry was concerned too when she first read the script and suspected things might not end well for her character.
“I thought I was being fired,” Harry told SOD with a laugh.
However, Harry did acknowledge that characters can often come back from a grim fate on Days, so she figured she wouldn’t be gone forever.
Since this DOOL storyline was apparently something meant to drag things out during the strike, Harry suggested that helped calm her fears.
That said, Harry did ask TBTB “what the heck is going on” and got reassurance about Paulina’s positive outcome.
Of course, Harry still had questions – even once she knew Paulina would pull through.
It left Harry curious about how this health scare would affect Paulina and Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) marriage.
Since Abe had amnesia going into this, Harry thought Paulina’s nearly fatal ordeal might lead to trouble for the duo.
“So it was like, ‘Maybe I’m going to cheat on him or something,’” Jackée Harry said.
Harry even joked about perhaps having a final fling with a male nurse at the hospital, but she seems pleased that Paulina stayed committed to Abe and their enduring love.
In the end, Harry just hoped to get Abe and Paulina’s romance back on track, which is what happened with a little help from angelic Lexie Carver (Jennifer K. Lee).
Days viewers will recall that Lexie visited from the afterlife to pass along two amazing gifts.
In addition to Paulina’s heart-related miracle, Abe faced a memory flood and now remembers falling in love with Paulina both times.
It doesn’t get much more romantic than that!
Now Abe is moving back in with Paulina and will have a small homecoming celebration with her during the week of March 18-22 according to the latest Days spoilers.
That’s wonderful news and points to a bright chapter ahead in Paulina’s relationship with Abe.
We’ll offer more predictions on what’s next for these two, but Abe and Paulina deserve a chance to just bask in their happiness for now.
