The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Monday, April 22, Steffy & Liam’s Love Still Alive, Hope’s Husband Award for Finn

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, April 22, reveals that Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) assured Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) that after cosmetic surgery, Sugar (Kimberlin Brown) became Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) identical twin and that not even Sheila’s own mother would be able to tell the difference.

After Lauren rehashed the story of how that happened, she also reflected on how Sugar posed as Sheila and attacked her son, Scotty Baldwin (last played by Daniel Hall on The Young and the Restless).

When Lauren confronted “Sheila” after she was arrested, she realized “Sheila” was walking perfectly.

That didn’t line up with an injury the real Sheila had received to her ankle, so Lauren figured out Sugar was an imposter.

Sugar and Sheila’s fingerprints didn’t match, so that’s when Sugar finally came clean about her plot to get back at Sheila.

Lauren pointed out that Sugar was still locked up, but Deacon pushed for her real name and learned it was Janet Webber.

Deacon felt he needed to find out everything there was to know about Sugar, but Lauren still hoped he was wrong and that his eyes were playing tricks on him during the cremation.

After Lauren wrapped up all the Sugar updates and left, Deacon once again looked at texts on the laptop and wondered aloud what happened to Sheila.

At Forrester Creations, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) suggested that sooner or later, Deacon would realize Sheila was truly gone.

Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) admitted she was frustrated since Deacon just wouldn’t let this go.

Liam argued that applied to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) too, but Steffy insisted Finn was concerned about Deacon’s crazy theories too and didn’t have any more sway over him than she did.

Talk turned to Liam’s priorities being his two daughters, so he pointed out that Steffy was the mother of one of them.

Liam reflected on how he’d been doing some soul-searching to be the best father he could be.

Steffy already thought Liam was pretty terrific, but Liam felt she was biased based on their history.

Liam noted that they spent a lot of time together and were really in love, so he reminded Steffy that that kind of love doesn’t just die.

Steffy smiled back at Liam as they shared a warm moment.

At the cliff house on Monday’s B&B episode, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) fished for a real answer to the question Deacon asked about whether Finn wished Sheila was still alive.

Finn reflected on all the baggage Sheila brought to the table and knew he shouldn’t feel any sort of connection after what she did. That said, Finn didn’t want Sheila deceased, especially not at the hands of his own wife.

After Finn said he didn’t make sense how he could still feel something for Sheila, he assured Hope that those feelings weren’t important compared for his feelings for Steffy and the kids’ happiness.

Hope said Finn was way overdue for a father and husband of the year nomination, so he asked if Liam deserved a nom, too.

Once Hope acknowledged that Liam was a great father, she reiterated that Finn’s category involved being the best husband as well.

Finn wound up talking about Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras McKinlay) new favorite word being “splendiferous,” so Hope gushed over the way he delighted in the kids.

After Hope said Finn was a good man, she said Steffy should know how lucky she was to have him.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope and Finn’s growing bond could lead to bad news eventually, so we’ll bring you predictions on any looming drama.
