The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, May 17, reveals that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) spoke with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) over the phone and admitted she hadn’t been able to talk to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) about the best man offer yet.
Hope wasn’t sure about being Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) maid of honor either, but Deacon said it’d mean the world if she’d be part of the ceremony.
Once Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) joined Hope at Forrester Creations, she took jabs about Deacon and then acted surprised when Hope gave her an attitude back.
Hope brought up the fact that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) were on the other side of the world in part thanks to Steffy, so she thought she had a right to be frustrated.
After Hope and Steffy rehashed their Thomas issues, Hope urged her to focus on her own life and husband – especially “given everything.”
Steffy asked what that was supposed to mean, so Hope suggested she shouldn’t diminish Finn’s feelings regarding Sheila.
Steffy wanted Hope to butt out, but she insisted she talked to Finn and that he wouldn’t be seeing Sheila ever again.
Meanwhile, Sheila had a follow-up appointment at the hospital, so she took the opportunity to pay Finn a visit in his office.
Finn seemed uncomfortable and didn’t think it was a good idea for Sheila to drop by like this.
Sheila asked if that’s how Finn really felt or if it was just what Steffy wanted.
After all the lovely things Finn said to her when he found out she was alive, Sheila couldn’t buy the notion that he wanted to keep her away.
Finn acknowledged how relieved he was to rescue Sheila, who knew the animosity with Steffy had to be affecting him.
After Finn pushed Sheila to get some real counseling and avoid falling back into old patterns, she promised she would stay on the right path.
Sheila was hopeful about a future and felt she had so much to live for.
At Il Giardino on Friday’s B&B episode, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) visited Deacon again to rant about the threat Sheila still posed.
Deacon felt like he was talking to a brick wall, so Liam admitted he was never going to be fooled by Sheila.
Afterward, Liam found Steffy at Forrester Creations and had another Sheila discussion with her as well.
Steffy insisted she laid down the law with Finn and that he knew Sheila wouldn’t be part of their lives.
Once Sheila met back up with Deacon, she mentioned her visit with Finn and said it was clear that Steffy had gotten in his head.
Sheila assured Deacon that she wasn’t going to lash out, so Deacon was relieved since that would ruin his masterplan.
Deacon explained that he asked Hope to be Sheila’s maid of honor and pushed her to convince Finn to be his best man.
When Hope arrived at Finn’s office later, she surprised him with Sheila and Deacon’s engagement news.
Hope also offered updates on the maid of honor request and revealed that Deacon wanted Finn to be his best man.
Finn was shocked and admitted there was no way Steffy would accept that.
Hope felt that was obvious, but she encouraged Finn to take his wife out of the equation and wondered what he wanted.
Although Hope was unsure over whether she’d tackle the maid of honor role, she made a prediction about it being easier if Finn was there, too.
Hope asked if Finn would consider saying yes to being at the wedding, so he looked pensive.
