The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 7, reveals that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will become confused when she returns from the kitchen and sees no sign of Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) or Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will show up at the door after tracking down Alan’s address, so he’ll express concern over his bizarre encounter with “Alan” and the fear he heard in Ashley’s voice on the phone.
Although Tucker will notice three cups on Traci’s tray and push to see Alan along with Ashley, Traci will urge him to butt out – though she’ll appreciate the fact that he cares.
Meanwhile, Alan will regain consciousness after being bound and gagged in a closet.
It won’t be long until Alan wiggles out of his restraints and escapes despite Martin Laurent’s (Christopher Cousins) best efforts to contain him.
Over with Martin, he’ll drag an unconscious Ashley to another part of the townhouse, but she’ll awaken and cry out.
That’ll leave Martin furious as he manhandles Ashley and ties to silence her.
Once Tucker and Traci hear Ashley’s scream, they’ll rush to help. Ashley will end up flying into Tucker’s arms just before Alan pops up to confront Martin.
However, Martin will gloat about being the smarter twin and will refuse to accept any kind of assistance from Alan.
Instead, Martin will want to be an only child, so he’ll lunge at Alan and launch a major physical confrontation.
That’ll ultimately lead to Martin and Alan tussling outside on the balcony before they both tumble over the edge together.
The good news is Martin will break Alan’s fall, so Alan will only have some bruises and a sprained arm.
The bad news is Martin will take a far worse hit on the ground, so he won’t survive.
Although Alan will feel guilty over Ashley’s ordeal and his inability to help Martin, he’ll be glad his brother’s at peace now.
Tucker will still have questions, but Ashley won’t want to get into everything tonight.
Alan and Traci will agree that it’s best if Tucker leaves, so he’ll head back to his hotel suite after speaking with the cops.
Later, Tucker will take a call that’s presumably about business and snap at the person on the other end since he won’t want to discuss that right now.
Once Tucker hangs up, he’ll shout in frustration.
Back with Ashley, she’ll tell Alan that her alters were confused about Tucker because she got confused about aggressive Martin.
Ashley will admit that if “Ms. Abbott” had been given more time, she likely would’ve killed Tucker.
Although Ashley will assume more happened with Martin that she blocked out, she’ll cry over not wanting to remember the rest at the moment.
Traci will tear up as well since she’ll hate seeing how much Ashley has been through.
Once Ashley returns to her apartment with Alan and Traci after speaking with the police, Alan will explain that what happened with Martin may have unleashed the alters, but it probably didn’t create them.
Instead, Alan will think Ashley has some deeper childhood trauma to unpack and will recommend that she head to a special clinic just outside Paris.
Although Ashley will resist at first, Alan will assure her that it’s a trusted facility and that he’s on the board there.
After Traci takes Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) call, she’ll get emotional again and allude to Ashley’s progress before putting their sister on the phone.
Ashley will admit that Alan thinks she needs to check in this special clinic for a while, so Jack will give her a pep talk and voice his support no matter what she decides.
As for Traci on Friday’s Y&R episode, she’ll comfort Alan over the Martin situation and will ultimately share a warm moment with him as they touch hands.
Finally, Ashley will disconnect from Jack and let Alan know that she’s ready to move forward with his clinic plans.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley will have more work to do, so we’ll bring you updates on her improvements and predictions on the childhood source of her trauma.
