Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, June 21, reveals that Tate Black (Leo Howard), Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) all discussed the lousy DJ at the prom, but Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) dragged Tate off to dance and gave Holly a dirty look.
Later, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) told Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) that she saw Sophia crying in the bathroom, but Brady thought she seemed fine and suggested maybe Theresa should stay out of all the teen drama.
However, Theresa was convinced that by the time the night was over, they’d be busting Tate and Holly together somewhere.
Tate eventually faked a terrible headache and informed his parents that he’d decided to walk home.
Once Tate left on Friday’s Days episode, Theresa said “I told you so” as Brady became suspicious as well.
Over with Sophia, she gave Holly the news that Tate took off. Sophia pushed Holly to admit she was an item with Tate since she overheard the guys talking at the pub earlier.
Although Holly tried to explain and apologize, Sophia was humiliated and angry over her bestie keeping secrets.
Holly hoped that Sophia wouldn’t tell her mom, so Sophia acted like she wouldn’t and pushed Holly to just chase after Tate.
Sophia moped in the aftermath, but Aaron said he really wanted to ask her to prom before all this went down.
Aaron also thought it was cool of Sophia to cover for Tate and Holly, so she looked guilty since she’s already spilled to Theresa earlier.
Once Holly met up with Tate at the Salem Inn, she saw that he’d decked out the room to look like a private prom for just the two of them.
Tate acknowledged there was a bed in the room, but he assured Holly that there was no pressure to do anything.
The only reason Tate booked them a suite was so they could actually be alone for once.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) practiced a script he’d written so that he could stand up to his mother, Diana Cooper (Judith Chapman), during his upcoming prison visit.
Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) was shirtless during a workout when he came along and asked if he could have Leo’s water.
Leo reflected on how this kept happening to him since shirtless Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) also asked for his water recently.
After Leo told Alex about his encounter with Theresa, he admitted he thought her love for Alex was genuine.
That said, Leo pointed out that you could never be too careful!
Brady and Theresa ended up in the town square looking for Holly and Tate, so they asked Leo if he’d seen them.
Leo flashed back to watching Tate go inside the Salem Inn followed by Holly, but he also recalled how he promised to keep quiet about their romance one time in the park.
Once Leo mulled it over on Friday’s DOOL show, he said he couldn’t help Theresa and Brady before bolting.
Brady realized Tate probably wanted some quiet corner to hook up with Holly, so both Brady and Theresa turned to look at the Salem Inn entrance as a lightbulb went off.
Back in their hotel suite, Holly danced with Tate and shared plenty of kisses with him.
As their make-out session escalated, Tate and Holly sat on the bed – just in time for Brady and Theresa to barge in on them.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Alex told Justin that he thought Theresa might be “the one.”
Justin tried to voice concerns about Theresa’s behavior as a worried father, but Alex insisted Justin wasn’t really his father anymore and that it was none of his business.
Afterward, Alex gazed at Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) portrait and seemed inspired over the way Victor always went after what he wanted.
Alex was ready to do the same since he had an engagement ring box in his hand.
At the hospital, Justin showed up to see Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) since Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) said he might need a lawyer.
Steve confessed to breaking Clyde Weston (James Read) out of prison, but Justin felt confident he could get Steve probation or time served since Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) life had been at stake.
When Justin asked if anyone else was involved, Steve insisted that he acted alone.
At the pub, Kayla talked to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) about Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and her hope that she would stay gone, but then Ava popped up with her suitcase.
After Ava’s time in Montana, she said she visited Tripp and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) in China to tell them in person that Clyde wouldn’t be a threat anymore.
Ava considered extending her trip and traveling some more, but she wanted to know where things stood with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton).
Roman informed Ava that Harris hadn’t been back to his room above the pub yet, so Ava clearly had a bad feeling.
Ava wondered if maybe she should just leave Salem, but Roman advised against making any life-changing decisions while she was jet-lagged and convinced her to stay for the breakfast rush tomorrow.
Ava also got updates on Steve getting shot and hospitalized, so she asked Kayla if that was somehow her fault. Kayla said it wasn’t this time, but she was still fed up with Ava and wanted her gone.
Once Kayla met up with Steve at the hospital, they were on the same page about him confessing to Clyde’s prison break so this wouldn’t be hanging over them.
On Friday’s Days episode, Steve admitted he told Justin that he acted alone, so Kayla wasn’t thrilled about him covering for Ava.
Finally, Ava made her way up to Harris’ room above the pub and seemed deep in thought. Suddenly, Harris appeared in the doorway and shared a tense look with Ava as unsettling music played.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Harris is about to deliver a shocker, so we’ll bring you more predictions on how he’ll blindside Ava.
