General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 19, reveals that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) forgot he was supposed to give Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) their riding lesson, so he was about to hit the sheets with Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) in his room when they showed up.
Tracy called out to Cody as she started climbing the staircase, so he had to pump the brakes, get dressed and go down to apologize for his forgetfulness.
When Sasha appeared moments later, Violet asked if she’d been napping with Cody upstairs.
Once Sasha coaxed Violet to the kitchen to get apples and carrots for the horses, Cody explained to Tracy about what a big day it had been.
After saving James West (Gary James Fuller), Cody was pretty sure that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) had forgiven him and accepted him as his son.
At GH, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) showed up for an appointment with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and hoped she could help him score the open lab tech position.
Terry ran down the list of Brad’s crimes and schemes in his file, but he knew Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) believed in second chances. Terry ultimately agreed to see what she could do.
Meanwhile, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) demanded that John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) state the charges against Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), so he said he was arresting her for the assault and attempted murder of Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) tried to argue that John was out of his jurisdiction, but John insisted that Kristina went after a witness in an FBI investigation.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was furious over John harassing his family and promised Kristina that he’d fix this.
Although John initially wanted Kristina to stand up and walk for her arrest, Alexis tossed threats around and got him to let her be wheeled out instead.
In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to step up the search for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
It was important to find Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) now that Lulu Spencer’s (last played by Emme Rylan) condition was seemingly heading downhill fast.
Laura gave Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) updates before summoning Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and telling him about something being wrong with Lulu.
Dante agreed to hold off on telling Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) while Laura gathered more info.
Although Dante wasn’t a couple with Lulu when she went into her coma, he said he’d always love her.
Later, Laura showed up at Lulu’s facility and was angry to find someone in her room.
Next, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) gave Anna the news about Valentin having Sonny’s medications altered.
Anna knew she messed up by letting Valentin escape, but she assured Jason that she didn’t know where he was hiding.
Anna explained the Lulu situation and said she needed to find Charlotte, so she asked Jason not to tell Sonny about Valentin’s actions yet.
Since Anna had already put Charlotte through so much, she didn’t want Charlotte to watch her father die.
Jason downplayed the idea of Sonny killing Valentin and added that Charlotte wouldn’t be anywhere close if it came to that.
If Anna found Valentin first, Jason asked if she’d warn him about Sonny.
Anna simply stated that she wouldn’t let a private citizen take the law into their own hands.
At the PCPD, John had another argument with Sonny and Alexis.
Kristina was taken to the interrogation room before Dante showed up and discussed Krissy’s arrest with Sonny.
Back with Kristina, she assured Alexis that John had it all wrong and that she didn’t attack Ava in her hotel room.
Alexis made it clear to John that she’d be pushing for immediate bail and that she wouldn’t let him railroad Kristina.
Elsewhere, Jordan had an outdoor meeting with Molly to scold her about confronting Ava behind bars.
That wasn’t something Molly should’ve been doing as the ADA, but Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) let Jordan gently reprimand her instead of putting something official in Molly’s file.
Although Molly thought John was out of line, she was starting to believe Ava wasn’t to blame for Kristina’s tumble.
In the interrogation room again, Dante brought Kristina soup and tried to offer reassurance.
Kristina acknowledged that she looked aggressive in the photos, but Dante didn’t think anyone would buy that Ava was the victim.
While Anna made a call in hopes of trying to locate Valentin, Jason met up with Sonny in his vehicle.
Sonny assumed John was behind his medication being altered, but Jason shocked him with the news that it was Valentin.
