The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, August 23, reveals that Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will sneak out so she can meet up with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and apologize for the drinking fiasco.
Although Lucy will hope they can be friends, Faith will get honest about the age gap being an issue and suggest she’ll be going back to college soon anyway.
Lucy will be disappointed, but she’ll act like she’s fine and urge Faith to go meet up with her real pals.
However, Faith will decide to check on Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) first and head back to the cottage, where Sharon will argue with another Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) hallucination in the meantime.
“Cameron” will feel like they’re on a mission together and will push Sharon to figure out why he’s really there.
Although “Cameron” won’t think Sharon has been truly happy since before Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) died, Sharon will disagree with that.
“Cameron” will contend that since Sharon is seeing Cassie’s ghost and fantasizing about reuniting with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), she’s got a pretty good roadmap to work with.
If Sharon can find true Cassie closure by any means necessary, then that could open the door to getting back together with Nick – at least according to “Cameron.”
Sharon won’t want “Cameron” blaming Cassie for her split from Nick, but he’ll argue that they both know who to blame for that.
“Cameron” will hint about Sharon doing what needs to be done, but she’ll shout at him to go away.
Faith will overhear as she comes home and will question who Sharon was talking to.
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will tearfully explain how she wound up sleeping with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and will hope Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) can find a way to forgive her.
Although Chelsea will invite Billy to yell at her, he’ll just feel numb right now – and he won’t know what he’ll be feeling once that passes.
Chelsea will really hope they can find a way to get past this, so Billy will hope that, too.
However, Billy will obviously be hurt and will leave without responding when Chelsea reminds him of her love.
In the park, Billy will scream out into the dark as he releases all his frustration.
At home on Friday’s Y&R episode, Adam will tell Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) that he didn’t sleep with Chelsea and will swear that nothing like that happened.
Adam will insist he’s not an idiot and will act like he wouldn’t risk jeopardizing their relationship after everything they’ve been through.
Sally will decide she believes Adam and will feel like a huge weight has been lifted off her.
While Sally is in the kitchen, Adam will get a text from Chelsea that says she told Billy the truth.
Adam will claim the text was about work when Sally asks and will look incredibly nervous about what’s going to happen next!
