General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest now that Ric Lansing is officially back in the land of Port Charles, many fans are wondering if he’ll dabble in a little romance, while he also supports his grieving daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Added teasers suggest that he’ll have a heated encounter with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) during the Tuesday, August 27 episode; however, he’ll also have a run-in with another ex, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebeccas Herbst).
Actor Rick Hearst recently caught up with SOD to talk about both meetings and teased a possible romantic reunion between Ric and Liz.
Hearst told SOD that Ric scenes with Alexis were Molly-centred, as both parents are looking to help their daughter navigate through this difficult time.
As Alexis isn’t only struggling with Molly’s grief, but Kristina Corinthos-Davis’s (Kate Mansi), too, she has multiple balls to juggle right now and could use Ric’s co-parenting abilities during this challenging time.
Still, fans should expect Ric to be #TeamMolly all the way during their chat, and he likely won’t understand the hard situation Alexis is in.
After Ric pays a visit to Alexis, he heads to the hospital and runs into Elizabeth … and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)!
As longtime GH viewers may remember, when Ric was in town last, he was holding out hope of reuniting with the nurse.
Of course, that never happened as Ric hired Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) to pose as ‘Jake Doe’s’ (played by the late and great Billy Miller, who ended up being Jason Morgan, and then Drew Cain) wife.
Ric hoped that adding Hayden into the equation would block any potential feelings between “Jake” and Liz. Of course, it was Carly who ended up busting him on this, and he and Liz went their separate ways.
Rick notes that Ric sees Liz in this “loaded moment” for the first time in years, and of course, “what are the odds” that Carly, of all people, would be with her, right?
While Rick reveals that Ric wanted to approach Liz, Carly ends up “jumping” right in and essentially ruining it all.
As such, Ric retreats, as he doesn’t want to get into a “deep” conversation with Elizabeth and have “Carly as an audience”.
Ric’s last words to Elizabeth are, “I hope we can catch up sometime soon.”
Looks like Ric may still have some lingering feelings for Liz, and the nurse has become mighty popular when it comes to her exes returning to town.
She’s had increased scenes with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) who just came back to the little town earlier in 2024, and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is seemingly on his way to PC.
Between Lucky, Jason, and Ric, Liz’s dance card is filling up fast, but who will she end up having a romantic tango with?
General Hospital spoilers hint that things are about to get far more interesting for Liz’s love life in the weeks ahead, so fans need to stay tuned to the ABC soap to see how things play out.
