The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, September 13, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will sit down at Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) table, so it won’t take long for tension to creep in the conversation.
However, Kyle will get called outside by Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who’ll blast him for tattling to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and trying to make trouble for her.
Although Kyle will insist it’s her own fault for betraying Victor, Audra will point out that she wasn’t fired.
Kyle will act like it’s only a matter of time until Victor cuts Audra loose, but she’ll refuse to back down and will vent to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) later.
Nate will warn Audra about the dangerous game you play when you work for Victor, but he’ll still have faith in her ability to handle all this.
Audra will seem turned on over Nate’s pep talk and will hit the sheets with him soon after.
In the park, Diane will quiz Kyle about whether he resents her, but he’ll suggest he’s just tired of everything being about her.
When Diane suggests family therapy, Kyle will think that sounds like “hell on earth.”
Victor will pop up and push Diane to leave Kyle alone, so she’ll tell Victor off before stomping away.
Kyle won’t need Victor to fight his battles for him, but Victor will stress the importance of Kyle breaking free from his parents and making his own choices.
Meanwhile, Claire will talk to Jack about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) and his own abandonment issues.
Since Jack forgave Dina, he’ll hold out hope that Kyle can forgive Diane for her past mistakes, too.
Claire will eventually track Kyle down in the park, where he’ll admit she makes everything easier.
Once Claire pushes Kyle to let the day’s events go, he’ll agree to try and will end up sharing a sweet kiss with her.
Back with Diane, she’ll complain to Jack about Kyle’s hostility and how Victor’s arrival made things worse. Diane just won’t know what to do anymore, so Jack will give her a comforting hug after her latest updates.
At the GCAC, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will join Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for a drink, but it’ll become obvious that she has an ulterior motive.
Phyllis will pitch herself as Billy’s right-hand exec since there have been so many Abbott-Chancellor shakeups lately.
Billy will mock Phyllis’ job pursuit at first, but he’ll ultimately seem impressed by her pitch. When Billy brings up Victor’s attack on the company, Phyllis won’t be scared off.
Phyllis will also urge Billy to hire Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) back, but he won’t be ready to agree to a family twofer hire yet.
Instead, Billy will urge Phyllis to quit while she’s ahead and will vow to be in touch. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will come along and spy the interaction, so he’ll deliver a warning once Billy is gone.
After Nick realizes Phyllis is about to throw herself into Abbott-Chancellor drama, he’ll warn that Billy’s days are numbered.
Phyllis will want details on Billy getting forced out, but Nick will feel like he’s said too much already.
Although Phyllis will think it’s sweet that Nick cares, she’ll point out that she’s not a damsel like Sharon and can fight her own battles.
“And I better get ready because this might be a really big one coming,” Phyllis will declare on Friday’s Y&R episode.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will land in some risky situations in the coming weeks, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the shocking news ahead.
