In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, Lucas and Simone were back together. He loved how she stood up for him. He simply loved her and so he gave up his chance to work in Chicago. He was going to stick it out in Seattle. Even if he does have to do his first year residency all over again. He thought Simone was more important than a job.
The two of them were so happy together that everyone at the house could hear them. Mika couldn’t sleep with them going at it all the time. She tried to complain to their other roommate. Kwan wasn’t sleeping in his room. He was actually sleeping on the couch in the living room because he gave his own bed to his ex-fiancée.
Kwan was engaged once. He was engaged to Molly Tran. She helped him get through a very dark time. They were happy together and then she got into an accident. She lost her memories.
She completely forgot who Kwan was. She saw Kwan as a stranger. He walked away so he wouldn’t confuse her. He thought that was the end of it until she contacted him a few weeks back. She had so many gaping holes in her past and she thought he could help fill them. She didn’t understand how much she was hurting Kwan by trying to force her way into his life.
She may have lost her memories only she didn’t lose her stubbornness. Molly was staying at the house. She was following Kwan to work. She wanted answers and he wasn’t going anywhere without them.
She usually waited in the waiting room while Kwan worked. She somehow found her way onto the patient’s floor. People were beginning to think that Kwan was sleeping with a family member of a patient. He realized he needed to do something about Molly. He tried to talk her into going away. And she hit him with another question.
Molly wanted to know why she doesn’t have many photos of him. They were engaged. They were making a life together. Yet, she found a mere handful of photos of him. Why is that? Kwan wasn’t really a photo guy.
He thought that by telling Molly some of their past that she would go away. He told her they met at a Halloween party. They had so much fun together. She was his lifeline and he was explaining that when his patient crashed. Kwan was working with Simone on a friend from Owen’s past.
Her name is Nora. She grew up with Owen. They were both in a play as kids. He went on to join the military and he became a doctor. She wanted to be a White House reporter. Then she met her now ex-husband. The ex was a farmer. He convinced Nora to move to the farm to be with him. They have four kids together and now her ex was trying to throw her away like yesterday’s news. They were going through a long drawn-out divorce when Nora realized she wasn’t well. She was having problems with her heart.
Nora traveled to Seattle to have the best doctors possible. She wanted Teddy. Teddy wasn’t sure if she should be Nora’s doctor. Teddy just got her job back as a cardiac surgeon.
She thought she would be Chief again and Richard had to burst that bubble. He told Teddy he was staying on as Chief. He was going to stay in that position until she can prove she can be trusted and that she wouldn’t steal from the hospital. Again! Teddy, Owen, and Amelia got their everyday jobs back. Teddy was demoted. Amelia lost her lab to someone else and it had only been a week.
Owen was the only one that was unaffected by his return to the hospital. He was glad to be back. He wanted to keep an eye on Nora and, when Nora took a turn for the worst, he told Teddy to put aside her grievances with Richard. She was going to need the best surgeons for Nora.
n year old boy who was prone to developing cancer. He has a large mass in his chest. Amelia worked with Monica to remove it from the boy.
The boy’s name is Cal. He was obsessed with death. He thought it wouldn’t scare him if he talked or joked about it. He had his reverend drop off a catalogue for caskets.
He was preparing his dad for a life without him. Cal wasn’t sure when the next mass turned out to be cancerous. He naturally wanted to be strong when he faced death. For both himself and his father. Cal struggled post-op. Schmitt had to call in the surgeons again. They were doing that while Meredith was secretly running tests on Catherine.
Catherine only agreed to take back the surgeons she fired if Meredith agreed to be her doctor. Catherine was dying and she didn’t want her family to know. Meredith agreed to be her doctor.
She ran several tests on Catherine. She found out she has several tumors all over Catherine’s liver. Meredith then turned to Bailey for help. Baily looked at the scans. She came to believe that there was a chance that the tumors could be benign. They could easily find out with a biopsy. Meredith and Bailey convinced Catherine to have one done.
Catherine wasn’t going to tell Richard until she got answers. Richard on the other hand was off golfing with Winston and Lucas. They had a blast. As for Cal, he developed a fast growing brain tumor.
He was actually dying now. He has months to live and so Schmitt helped Cal to come up with a bucket list. He wrote down all the things he wanted to do before he dies. He wanted to go to space camp. He wanted to cram a lifetime into a few months. And Schmitt was there to help him as long as possible.
Kwan also came clean with Molly. He told her the real reason she doesn’t have his photos. He was going through a bad time after he lost his mom and he cheated on Molly. It was one time. He regretted it right afterwards. He told Molly. They got into their biggest fight. She went driving afterwards and that’s when she got into a car crash.
Kwan has always blamed himself for that car accident. He also tried to kiss Molly tonight and she wasn’t there. She was glad for the answers. She just didn’t love him like she used to.
And Teddy managed to save Nora’s life on her own. She also prepared a big speech for Richard. She told Richard that she deserves her job as Chief back and he said okay.
He was so relaxed after golfing that he wasn’t angry anymore. Teddy was Chief again. She also secretly got Meredith a scrub nurse for a procedure she doesn’t know was for Catherine. So, she’s still breaking rules.
