The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) recently had an honest discussion with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about her concerns. Claire had to admit she was triggered by Kyle celebrating Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) misery since that was the kind of thing Jordan (Colleen Zenk) used to do.
Kyle wondered if Claire was comparing him to her aunt, but Claire offered reassurance since she’s seen Kyle’s good heart and knows how sweet he is with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).
At the same time, Claire couldn’t help but sense a red flag due to Kyle’s latest behavior. The fact that Kyle was gloating over Audra’s misfortune upset Claire and made her worry about the road he could be headed down.
Kyle tried to act like he simply had to handle Audra this once and that would be the end of it. However, our predictions hint that Kyle may show Claire more red flags as their fragile romance moves along.
That said, this may ultimately lead to Kyle getting a heroic moment. Perhaps Y&R will dirty up his character in Claire’s eyes and pave the way for Kyle to redeem himself.
One redemption strategy might involve Kyle playing hero when Jordan inevitably returns to Genoa City. It’s just a matter of time until Jordan escapes from prison and comes back for another round of revenge.
Claire may become a top target when that happens due to her betrayal. Since Claire chose to be disloyal to Jordan and embrace the Newman family, you can bet her aunt will want to make her pay.
This could give Kyle an opportunity to put himself in jeopardy and save Claire when it really counts. It’s easy to imagine Jordan going off the rails with a new plot for vengeance – one that could put Claire in grave danger and set the stage for Kyle to protect her.
Kyle might get injured in the process, but he’d earn Claire’s gratitude and show he’s a good person at his core. Although Kyle is acting like an entitled brat in this corporate storyline, he might behave like a mature, selfless adult with this new Jordan angle.
Whatever the case, Kyle has some growing up to do and may end up doing it quickly if Jordan’s comeback brings more danger to GC.
