Days of Our Lives Wednesday, October 9 Recap: EJ Blocks Sarah’s Attempt to Recant Brady Statement – Gabi Moves Out

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 9, reveals that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) showed up to check on Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) in her hospital room, but she had an ulterior motive.

Melinda admitted Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) asked her to draw up divorce papers, but she offered to bow out of representing him if that’s what Gabi wanted.

However, Gabi said she agreed with Stefan about it being time to move on and suggested it was fine for Melinda to be Stefan’s attorney.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) pushed Stefan’s buttons about the end of his marriage. Stefan pushed EJ to listen to Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) warning to stay away from Gabi, but EJ didn’t see why Stefan should care now.

Although Stefan doubted Gabi would ever come to the house again, Gabi suddenly walked in after getting discharged and taking a taxi. In a moment alone with Stefan, Gabi brought up Melinda’s visit and snapped a bit over him choosing an attorney with a crush on him.

Gabi hinted that maybe Stefan was making sure she wouldn’t take him for everything he was worth, so he asked if that was still the plan. Once Gabi admitted she was there to get her things and move out, she headed up to her room.

Afterward, Gabi said another more final goodbye with Stefan as they both cried. Once Gabi touched Stefan’s face tenderly, she rolled her suitcase out and left Stefan standing there with tears streaming down.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) struggled to reach the toy Victoria Kiriakis (Islay and Paisley Kerr) had thrown from her play area.

Sarah also couldn’t reach her ringing phone, so she grew frustrated right as Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) walked in and helped her. Once Fiona offered comfort, Sarah suggested she just needed some alone time and sobbed as a guilt-ridden Fiona listened around the corner.

At Titan on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) asked Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) when Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was getting out of jail, but he asked how “never” worked for her and doubted this magical serum existed.

Even if it did, Xander argued that he didn’t want Sarah used as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) guinea pig. Kristen insisted Dr. Rolf was a genius and promised to hand over the data to prove this serum could work.

If Brady didn’t go free and Sarah missed out on this chance to walk again, Kristen insisted it’d be Xander’s fault.

Xander ultimately caved in and went home to give Sarah updates on Kristen’s proposal. Sarah was skeptical of this serum actually curing her paralysis, but Xander felt it seemed legit after looking at the data.

Once Xander pointed out that Sarah could look over everything herself, he suggested she should take the risk and go for it. The only catch was that Sarah had to recant her statement against Brady.

After EJ was summoned to the Kiriakis mansion, he shared news on Brady’s 10-year plea deal. Xander helped Sarah explain that she was on a lot of meds and that her memory was more muddled than she thought.

Sarah suggested that maybe she dreamed it since she no longer saw a clear image of Brady behind the wheel. Although Sarah wanted to recant her statement, EJ said “like hell” she would and stood against the idea.

At the Salem PD on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) visited Brady and was disappointed to learn he was so adamant about his plea deal.

Once Eric was gone, Fiona arrived to see Brady and seemed like she was about to confess her guilt in the accident. However, Kristen showed up demanding to know who Fiona was and got an introduction.

Fiona suddenly shifted gears and acted like Brady deserved to pay before leaving. Kristen thought Fiona had some nerve and dropped some hints to Brady about him walking free soon.

Later, Eric spoke to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) at the pub and filled him in on Brady’s former romance with Fiona. After Eric talked about Brady’s apparent drugging and Xander being in Brady’s room, he mentioned overhearing Sarah and Fiona discussing a secret.

Eric was convinced that Fiona may have been involved in the accident – and soon enough, Eric bolstered his theory at Small Bar.

Once Eric spoke to the waiter from that night, he confirmed that Fiona said she was in control of the situation and left with Brady. After Fiona appeared nearby, Eric looked more suspicious than ever and prepared to question her.

Our DOOL predictions point to Fiona losing her grip in the coming episodes, so don’t miss how she’ll scramble!
