General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal a blast from the past is set to return to the land of Port Charles.
As fans recall, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) mentioned how she had spoken to her brother, Steve Webber, during a recent episode.
He’s officially out of jail and trying to get on with his life.
No one gets mentioned out of the blue in the land of daytime drama, so this created speculation among viewers as to whether or not Steve would return to the little town.
It certainly reminded fans of Steve and his history with Heather Webber (Alley Mills)!
Now, TV Insider is reporting that actor Scott Reeves is set to reprise his old GH role.
Steve was last seen on GH in March 2013, before he was hauled off to jail on the day of his wedding to Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), no less.
Still for fans wondering how long Steve will be staying in PC, sounds like it won’t be a long run.
Reeves told TV Insider that he has already wrapped filming for his GH stint.
With that being said, he did tell the publication that he would be open to returning once again, as he believes there’s “so much” potential with Steve.
He added, “Anytime they want me back, I’m there.”
Interestingly enough, it sounds like Scott was shooting his GH run just as his wife, Melissa Reeves (Days of Our Lives’s Jennifer Horton Deveraux) was filming her Salem comeback as Jennifer.
The two currently live in Nashville, Tennessee, but took a quick jaunt to L.A. for some soap opera work
Reeves also tells TV Insider that his return will include scenes with Alley Mills (Heather Webber).
He states that he enjoyed working with Mills and she’s “hilarious”.
He added that the actress plays the Heather role, “role to the hilt.”
Reeves also talked about the nice reunion he shared with his onscreen sister, Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Baldwin), who he notes is like a little sister to him.
Reeves also states that it felt like he was reuniting with family, as he and Herbst are close, outside of the show.
Scott Reeves began playing Steve Webber on GH in 2009 and left the show in 2013.
It’ll be interesting to see what brings him back to Port Charles.
