Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Brandon Barash’s (Stefan DiMera) exit is official, so fans will have to say goodbye to Stefan soon enough. CDL previously reported on Barash’s imminent Days departure, but now Barash himself has confirmed he was fired in a Soaps.com interview.
Barash admitted the news came as quite a shock since it seemed like it came out of nowhere.
It was a tough blow that Barash described as a “gut punch” since the writers chose to have him leave Salem in the middle of his contract.
Based on what’s been happening on-screen, it looked like Stefan might get another chance with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) since he was ready to fight for her by the end of the October 25 episode.
Unfortunately, Stefan was attacked and seemingly drugged by a masked intruder moments later.
That was apparently someone sent by Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) since Days spoilers say she’ll prevent Stefan from reuniting with Gabi.
It looks like Vivian has taken drastic action when it comes to controlling Stefan, so fans will want to stay tuned for updates on Monday, October 28.
That’ll be Brandon Barash’s final airdate – and Barash doesn’t sound too optimistic about a comeback.
Since this is the second time Barash has been given the boot from DOOL, he’s uncertain about whether his return will ever happen.
It would require a very specific set of circumstances and a show of faith that he doesn’t have in Days anymore.
Brandon Barash talked about how the terms, story and contract would all have to be right for him to even consider reprising the role of Stefan DiMera.
“And I would have to be able to trust them. And I’ve lost that. I’ve lost that ability to trust that team, quite frankly,” Barash admitted.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi will remain in Salem without her true love, so we’ll see what the future holds for her character without Stefan by her side.
Our predictions point to Gabi finding another romantic partner eventually, but many fans will forever feel Stefan was her perfect match!
