The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 28, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will lash out at Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) for arresting Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), but Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) will urge Phyllis to shut up and let her handle this.
Christine will promise to get Daniel out on bail ASAP, but Phyllis will act like Christine is a terrible lawyer who’s only going to make things worse.
Later, Phyllis will voice her concerns to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and even suggest that Christine might throw the case.
However, Michael will argue that Christine is an excellent attorney who wouldn’t do that to Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) son.
Although Phyllis will want Michael to take over Daniel’s case, Michael will insist that’s not her call.
That said, Michael will agree to watch over things and intervene if need be – though he won’t think that’s going to be necessary since Daniel is innocent.
Phyllis will eventually declare that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is framing Daniel, but Michael will be skeptical.
When Phyllis stands her ground, Michael will warn against fabricating any evidence to take down Sharon instead.
Phyllis will contend that she won’t have to fabricate anything since Sharon is guilty and will vow to do whatever it takes to prove it.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Daniel will go through fingerprinting and will have his mugshot taken before he lands in a jail cell.
At the GCAC, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will head to Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) room hoping she can help fix things between Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Diane will suggest she’s tired of pretending she doesn’t want the things she wants. Once Diane says she indeed came to town with an agenda, she’ll talk about how she almost got away with it.
As far as Diane’s concerned, it’ll be up to Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to accept that her ambition can coexist with her desire to be a wife and have a family.
Although Diane will get a bit harsh with Traci, she’ll soften as Traci’s leaving and wish her happiness with Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins).
At the Abbott mansion, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will check on Jack since she’ll worry he might turn back to pills for comfort.
Jack will give Nikki his word that he won’t and will agree to reach out to his sponsor as well.
If Nikki really wants to help, Jack will urge her to tell Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to get his claws out of Kyle.
Nikki will get updates on Victor being Glissade’s secret investor and will learn he wants revenge over the night Jack did drugs to scare her straight.
Afterward, Nikki will confront Victor in his office, so she’ll push him to admit his Glissade investment, Kyle recruitment and revenge plot.
However, Victor will spin it around on Nikki and act like she’s the one who’s outrageous for comforting Jack.
After Victor rips into Nikki over her Jack visit, he’ll sarcastically suggest she should move in with him.
In the park, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will admit she believes Diane’s love is real and will think maybe she was just angry enough to confirm all the negative things being said about her.
Claire will work to convince Kyle that maybe there’s still hope for him to repair his bond with Jack and bring Diane back into his life, too.
Once Traci returns to the Abbott house, she’ll confess to Jack that she went to see Diane.
Traci will admit she now thinks Jack’s right and that Diane is only looking out for herself.
Back with Victor, he’ll get Diane on the phone and admit he’s very interested in her proposal about punishing Jack.
Diane will insist that’s good because she wants payback and doesn’t care who she has to hurt to get it!
