General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) clearly isn’t coping well with the loss of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). When Dante asked Sam to marry him, he truly thought they’d be able to grow old together.
Instead, Dante is preparing to bury Sam and bid farewell to her forever. One minute Dante was planning to live happily ever after and the next he was struggling to live in a world without his fiancée.
Although Dante has been getting support from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), their comfort isn’t enough.
Dante is drowning in grief, so there’s nothing anyone can say to pull him out of that right now.
Since Dante feels robbed of a future with Sam, his shock and sadness could turn into vengeful rage.
If Dante ultimately comes to believe Sam was murdered based on autopsy report clues, there’s going to be trouble.
Dante has had moments in recent months when he wrestled with being a good cop.
There have been times when Dante was tempted to put family first – like when he almost warned Sonny about the evidence that could clear Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
It feels like maybe GH writers have been building to a turning point for Dante, especially now that Sam’s gone.
Dante doesn’t have his rock to lean on anymore and may head down a dangerous path as a result.
It’s easy to imagine Dante deciding to investigate on his own instead of letting the PCPD botch this.
Dante may put his detective skills to good use and plan to make sure the killer ends in a grave instead of a jail cell.
In other words, Dante may head down the road to being a dirty cop who only cares about avenging Sam.
The lines may blur between what’s right and what’s wrong for Dante as this storyline moves along.
Dante may become so consumed by the hole left in his heart that he can’t focus on anything except filling it with revenge!
It could lead to Dante risking a prison stint if he’s not careful.
