Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 20, reveals that JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) ran into Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) outside the pub and offered updates on Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) asking EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to drop the charges against Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord).
JJ explained the situation with Clyde Weston (James Read) and worried about the possibility that Cat was a double agent who was playing Chad.
After JJ apologized for dumping all this on Gabi, she assured him it was fine.
Gabi admitted she missed Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and thought she deserved to rest in peace.
Although Gabi wondered if there was anything she could do to help, JJ couldn’t think of anything – though he appreciated the chance to open up.
At the Horton house on Wednesday’s Days episode, Clyde called Chad and provided instructions.
Chad and Cat were supposed to check in a hotel under the names Mr. and Mrs. Chad DiMera, but Clyde said he’d be in touch again with a time and location.
Once Chad disconnected, Cat worried they’d be sitting ducks if they did what Clyde asked.
It could give Clyde the upper hand and leave them without any info on Abigail’s remains or Cat’s hostage mother.
Cat suggested sending a couple decoys to check in, which would allow them to watch for Clyde and give them an advantage instead.
Chad got on board with the idea, but he shut down Cat’s suggestion about letting Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) join the plan.
Once JJ appeared and heard about the decoy dilemma, he insisted on pitching in.
JJ was obviously going to be Chad’s decoy and had an idea on someone who could help, so he presumably planned to ask Gabi to play Abigail.
In the town square on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) worked to convince Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) that Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) must be behind the poisoned cupcakes.
At the Salem PD, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) turned in his weapon and refused to let Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) talk him out of quitting the force.
Rafe made a prediction about the resentment that could grow between them if he stayed working under Jada, so he didn’t want to risk their relationship.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) came blowing in and wanted Rafe to be the lead detective on the poisoned cupcake case, but he informed her that he was resigning.
Although Paulina wasn’t happy about that, she told Jada to assign her next best detective instead.
Kate eventually appeared on Wednesday’s Days episode and explained why Hattie could be the guilty party.
Once Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) delivered the results of the tests she’d run, Paulina got confirmation that the cupcakes were indeed poisoned.
There thankfully weren’t enough toxins to do any real harm, but Paulina acted like this could still be an attempted murder investigation.
Jada ultimately put an APB out on vengeful Hattie since all signs were pointing to her so far.
In Gabi’s office, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) was clueless about what Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) was accusing him of.
Leo insisted Javi was the only person who had access to all the story details on his laptop.
Javi denied stealing anything, but Leo stood by his belief that his new lover was impersonating Lady Whistleblower and spoiling all his stories.
As Javi offered up a bogus confession, he mocked Leo by walking him through it and proving his theory was ridiculous.
It didn’t make any sense for Javi to show up in Salem two days ago grieving his mother, meet Leo, find out about some random show and steal his stories just to spoil them.
Furthermore, there wasn’t enough time for Javi to memorize all the details and immediately make a Lady Whistleblower post about them.
Leo finally realized he’d accused the wrong culprit, but it was too late to undo this as far as Javi was concerned.
Javi made it clear that they were over and threatened to call security, so Leo was forced to leave.
When Gabi returned to the office on Wednesday’s Days episode, Javi surprised her with the news that he was done with Leo. After Javi pulled up Leo’s contact on his phone, he deleted it.
Once Leo met up with Bonnie, she asked how things went when he confronted his Lady Whistleblower imposter suspect. Leo thought he’d made a huge mistake and seemed upset over blowing things with Javi.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo and Javi still have a future together, but it’ll take some time and forgiveness before they can get back on track!
